Proposing new immigration laws to be ignored to replace old immigration laws that were ignored is much more rational to the Republican Establishment

The Republican Establishment Sinking of the U.S.S. America

Let us face facts. The Republican Establishment is hell bent on proposing some form of immigration reform. Their desire comes not from the goodness of the heart or continuation of the sentiment of Emma Lazarus's poem,"The New Colossus" which is stamped on the base of the Statue of Liberty.
No, the truth of the matter is that the Republican Establishment is doing the bidding of the Chamber of Commerce and its big business friends. They also have misguided hopes that the Latino population, both legal and voting illegal, will find them saviors with nothing but good intentions and will become a reliable voting block for years to come. They recent revelation that only 3% of Americans feel this issue is the most pressing issue facing America today only proves the nefarious reasoning behind the Republican Establishment race to pander to Latino voters. Most Tea Party supporters understand that there is an immigration issue that needs to be addressed. On the list of things that need to be done, it is in the top 3 from recent questionnaires I have received from Tea Party supporters. That sample is small I admit, but observing political forums, articles, and discussions this seems to be a solid position to assign it. That being said, the Tea Party movements collective solution seems to be the most logical and easiest way to rectify the situation: Close the U.S.-Mexico boarder and enforce the laws that already exist. The Tea Party K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid for all of those in Washington D.C., a foreign concept to you obviously) approach to the issue seems to somehow not to connect with the Republican Establishment. Is it because it does not require endless amounts of red-tape regulations? Or is it because they have to be able to deny they know what is in proposed legislation before they could in good conscious vote on it? Whatever the reasons, common sense seems not to be one of them.

Proposing new immigration laws to be ignored to replace old immigration laws that were ignored is much more rational to the Republican Establishment. Maybe it is because the intent is to continuously cycle new immigration laws to ignore to replace the old ignored immigration laws thus forever having an immigration problem to campaign on. Even better yet, is you can remain completely irresponsible for whatever immigration laws you pass or ignore. The recent trend is to not have a clue as to what you are voting on. Why be knowledgeable of the legislation you vote on? That would ultimately mean mean you would have to be responsible for what it does or doesn't do. It is best to avoid being held responsible for anything. Gone are the days of a finger in the wind and jumping on the bandwagon as it rides by. That has now been replaced with warm fuzzy feeling of security that ignorance now provides you. Far less effort involved. Branching off this convoluted reasoning of the Republican Establishment is that it is far more logical and profitable to avoid repairing a huge gash in the hull of the U.S.S. America. Let the gash remain and the water to gush in. You don’t want to offend the water threatening to sink the ship and because you have taxpayer money to spend at your leisure, and you can buy bigger and even bigger yet buckets to bail her out with. It doesn’t matter all these overpriced and over regulated buckets have no bottoms, that is because that is how you were told by the bucket manufacturer to request them after a comprehensive costly study paid to a friends lobbying firm named Screwem & Spendit. This set up allows you to not have to do any heavy lifting. You can continue to act like a valiant servant without ever having to worry about running out of water to pretend to be bailing out. The best part of it all is that when you tire of pretending to bail out the U.S.S. America, or she sinks faster than you thought, the bucket manufacturer has reserved for you a gold plated lifeboat with all sorts of goodies stored in her and sail set to a cushy safe harbor in the port of K-Street. There may be inquiries to your actions, even a court marshal called. You don't have to worry because the court marshal board will be manned by fellow Establishment Democrats. After a firm scolding and a wink and a nod, you will be deemed ignorant of the situation and thus not responsible for the loss of the once proud U.S.S. America. Her sinking will be deemed to be due to a Tea Party mutiny. The most you will receive is a slap on the wrist for using your oars to crack the heads of survivors pleading with you to save them. The peasants had it coming and that will be buried or redacted from the court transcript anyway. All of this for some cash on the side and votes the Republican Establishment will never receive. I suggest investing in floaties and nose-pinchers if the Republican Establishment continues on the course it has chosen and don’t forget your helmet to protect you noggin for when they go sailing by off into the sunset.
