"The voice of one crying in the wilderness" John 1:23
In an interview between Elizabeth Farah (World Net Daily) and pastor Lorenzo Sewell, they talked about the church's silence in the face of a growing Islamic threat[1]. They showed a short clip of him confronting the Dearborn city council, which includes a number of Muslims, asserting that this is not a Muslim country. This is a nation of Christians: "One nation under God".
He said there is fear in the church about Islam, that before he went to confront the city council, many prominent pastors and Republicans told him not to do it. Before he said that, Elizabeth had applauded his courage in taking such bold action, and that Christians are not supposed to be "weak, milquetoast, limp-wristed, spineless, weak-kneed. We're supposed to be strong in the Lord and fearless." It is not just pastors, many Western so-called leaders are also submitting[2].
He has asserted that we have lost our country. That although Muslims account for 1% of the population, there are 3 Muslim cities in America. He talked about 25 years ago (9/11), that the same spirit that slammed the planes into the Twin Towers is the same spirit that is leading New York City today.
He said "Pastors are afraid; they're scared; we have lost our country. The church does not have any leaders; there's nobody talking about it. You get all these so-called mega-church pastors--you cannot name one pastor in America that is standing up over a pulpit, saying we need to go against Islam. You cannot find one."
She asked if pastors are “dhimmis”, ceding to Islam, but he said that they are Ahab, they are filled with the Ahab spirit. Ahab was a docile man under the thumb of Jezebel and he said that, during COVID-19, Governor Whitmer signed 180 executive orders silencing the church. You couldn't go to your church. She was Jezebel, and the pastors are like Ahab, refusing the speak up. It was the same in Canada, with one lone voice, pastor Arthur Pawlowski, defying the order[3]. Another lone voice, Eddie Isa, an Iranian Sharia survivor, confronted McKinney City Council as McKinney Islamic Association sought to enlarge its campus[4].
Sewell said he was going to speak at the Republican National Convention, because he was invited by Donald Trump. He said that the RNC would never invite him, but Donald Trump did. Trump understands the danger that Islam poses. Muslims are establishing themselves with money coming from Qatar and Saudi Arabia. They are also running the essential businesses: drug stores, grocery stores, gas stations and the like, and ordinary citizens, through buying their goods, are funding the building of mosques and other Islamic facilities.
He says that Trump understands the threat. He called Trump a tourniquet. Trump is stopping the bleeding by shutting the door to illegal immigration. He is the good Samaritan, tending to the church that is bleeding and dying on the side of the road, applying a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.
Elizabeth Farah said that "Christians are supposed to be bold in the Lord. After 9/11 instead of shutting the doors to immigration we opened it wide because of the foolishness of Christian pastors."
She then admonished them:
"If you're going to be the shepherds of the sheep.
If you're going to say come to me if you want to know the word of God,
if you're going to have that mantle,
to much is given much is expected, and COURAGE is what is REQUIRED."
The election of Muslims to office is a danger sign. It is a sad state when Christians are ruled over by Muslims, let alone Marxists and Atheists. Sharia courts have been established in Europe[5] and Canada[6]. Brigitte Gabrielle, with organizations in the US and Canada, has been sounding the warning for years[7], as her homeland was taken over by Islam. The Palestinians came seeking humanitarian help and her country, Lebanon, accommodated them. It wasn't long before the Christian culture was subsumed by Islam and the population was reduced to second class status.
Sewell said that the growth of Islam in America is a judgement from God. We have strayed far from Him and His teaching. He said 9/11 was a warning, that America needed to return to Him or she will receive further judgement. There was a brief period of repentance, but it only lasted about a week. Then it was back to life as normal. People, and especially Christians, do not understand the horrors of life under Islamic rule. The treatment of dhimmis by the Ottoman Turks was brutal and tortured, the most brutal of which was used by Vlad, the Impaler, to stop a Turkish invasion[8]. It is still brutal today, offering only dhimmitude[9].
In an earlier article, “The Red-Green Alliance”[9], I posited the speculation about the woman riding the beast in Rev 17:1-6, that the woman is a “vile world system”, of which Socialism / Communism / Nazism fill the bill, and that the beast is Islam. The picture is of globalists riding the beast of Islam to destroy the Christian West. We see that alliance forming today. The (Socialist) Democrat party includes many Muslims. An interesting side-note is that Walid Shoebat, a former Palestinian terrorist and now a Christian, said, when he saw the Mark of Beast in Greek text, he recognized it as the symbol on the headbands of jihadis.
It has been written that there are three kinds of Muslims. The first is the jihadi, the front-line terrorist foot soldier. The second comprise those who fund and equip the jihadis. The third is the ordinary Muslim who applauds the expansion of Islam. I can understand this third kind. It’s the same kind of feeling I get when I see the gospel spread further out into the world. Now there is a fourth kind, those disillusioned with the violence and brutality of Islam. In fact, the fastest growing church is in Iran[10], a very violent and brutal regime.
Throughout the middle east, many are turning to Jesus and it is Jesus Himself who is reaching them through dreams and visions[11]. I have personal experience with a Muslim curious about the bible. At a former workplace, we had a weekly lunch-hour bible study for which the company graciously provided a room. He was sincere in wanting to better understand the Bible, but he would often derail the bible study, not intentionally, but with simple questions. Once I remember he asked "Why did Jesus come?" We gave him a church-ese non-answer. "He came to know what it was to be a man." He then rebutted, "If God is all-knowing, wouldn't he already know what it is to be a man?" At that point we realized that we had done him a disservice and his question deserved a real answer. I cannot remember our deliberations, but I know what I would tell him now. Jesus came for two reasons. First, to be the perfect sacrifice for sin to redeem mankind. The second is revealed by His name Emmanuel, God is with us. He came to dwell among us so that we could better relate to our God. It's hard to relate to a God of smoke and fire on a mountaintop. God who came down and dwelt among us as a man is someone we can relate to, and Christianity is all about relationship, to God and to our fellow man.
Now the Muslims are here and we can share the gospel with them. But we need to be very careful how we share it. It will take much leading and guiding by the Holy Spirit. I know people who went to the middle east to do evangelism. These were not woolly-headed people who went unprepared. They were carefully trained and managed to be effective and to keep them safe.
Evangelism aside, the church needs to take a strong role in exposing the violence and brutality of Islam and to take a stand that the US and Canada are Christian nations, and that the Muslims need to assimilate or leave. We need boldness in the pulpit and boldness in our streets, In Canada, the government will cite hate speech laws in an attempt to silence the church, but we have ceded enough ground. It is time to train strong warriors for Christ to rise and take the land, just as the Israelites did during their 40 years in the desert. The carcases of the whiners and complainers littered the desert floor while God raised up a generation of warriors to follow Joshua and Caleb into the promised land. We need to do the same.
To quote Winston Churchill:
“We have nothing to fear, but fear itself.”
