Larry, Shep and Moe of Canadian politics

The Three Stooges of Canadian politics make a grab for power

While I have, of late, been opining about the state of politics south of the 49th, Larry, Shep and Moe snuck up on us all with a power grab move that can only be likened to Zimbabwe’s senile leader Robert Mugabe’s theft of an election in which he had been defeated. For our readers in the U.S., Canada has just gone through a federal election. In that election the Incumbent Prime Minister Stephen Harper, picked up additional seats from the erstwhile ruling party, known as the Liberals. We have, in this country, a socialist party called the New Democratic Party or NDP. Now the NDP is made up of socialists who have not yet twigged to the fact that they do not know how to govern. In fact, whenever they were in power provincially, they managed to do nothing more than destroy the economies of those jurisdictions.

Now this may come as a surprise you our U.S. neighbours, but we have a fourth party called the Parti Quebecois. This party only has members from Quebec. Their sole reason for living, is to destroy Canada. Combined, they have more seats than the ruling Conservatives. In the last election the Conservatives were only able to muster enough seats to govern as a minority government. That meant, under our system, if the other three aforementioned parties ganged up on them, they could defeat the government and jackboot it out of power. And if you don’t believe me, just ask Bob Rae, the former Ontario premier who turned our largest, richest province into an economic bask case. Now he’s running to lead the federal Liberal party. So here is where we stand now. The Liberals, whose leader quit the party in a snit because he lost the election, teamed up with the NDP socialists. Just to make the game more fun, they included the PQ separatists. In doing so, if they manage to seize power, the separatists will hold the balance of power in the entire country. If that situation does not instill in you a sense of confidence I don’t know what will. Honest, folks I’m not making any of this up. And what sparked this grab for power? Well, Prime Minister Harper, in an economic statement, said he wanted to wean the political parties in this country off the taxpayer dole where they receive millions to support their particular party. After all, should not the politicians be leading the way to economic downsizing by example? Not in Canada. What we don’t know is what the Liberals and the NDP have promised the separatists in return for their support. Did they promise to back them in creating the Country of Quebec down the road? Did they guarantee them extra cash? Or did they tell them they could have a veto over anything they didn’t like. I can tell you, there is nothing about Canada the PQ likes other than the obscene pensions they get when they leave office. They like that just fine. Oh. And they like Canadian passports. Meanwhile our Mainstream Media (MSM) buddies are doing all they can to avoid the topic of what the payoff is for the separatists. Global Television is using the term Power Shift instead of Power Grab or Overthrow to keep their audiences in the dark. They are virtually ignoring the fact that the separatists will hold the balance of power in the country. Mind you, the rest of the MSM have not done any better. They portray this as the prime minister’s fault and see nothing wrong with people who were defeated in the last election, suddenly on the cusp of running (or is that ruining?) the country. And to top it all off, the MSM would have us believe that this is a legitimate way to power in a democratic country. Maybe if that country is somewhere on the African sub-continent or in the Middle East, they might have a point. As usual, the people are far ahead of the MSM on this. Blogs are reportedly being swamped across the country by people telling it like it is. They are generally outraged at this sham and any government that might be formed as a result, will have no legitimacy in the eyes of the majority. Remember these three names: Stephane Dion, Liberal, Jack Layton, NDP and Gilles Duceppe, PQ separatist. They are the Larry, Shep and Moe of Canadian politics who will be remembered as the trio who thought it could fool all of the people all of the time. Well, boys, just because Canadians are known to be docile sheeplike-followers, it does not mean they are stupid enough to fall for your shtick. None of you were electable in the last election. You certainly are not wanted now. Please Write to The Governor General and your MP
