The US "Intelligence" Apparatus and Why It Is Not Our Friend Anymore

The 2024 election is upon us, and any new allegations of plagiarism or fascism by this candidate go in one ear and out the other. I voted, and I am not inclined to change my opinion. Therefore, I shall not opine any further about the incompetence and corruption of the incumbent government and its practitioners or the corrupt Deep State that supports it because other things of major significance are happening to our American Republic that, no matter who wins, will adversely affect all of us.

When I refer to the "Deep State," some will envision the nameless, faceless hordes of bureaucrats who labor in their cubicles in the cement canyons of Washington DC, to thwart the ambitions, ideas, or proposals of any politician, conservative or otherwise, who dares challenge the unspoken agenda of their Masters. President Eisenhower warned us to beware of the Military-Industrial Complex upon his departure from office. Still savoring the new American position as victors over fascism and new masters of the world, his warning was ignored, and, in its ascendency, the new American state had to protect itself, hence, the growth of intelligence. FBI director. Edgar Hoover had long since operated Counter-Intelligence and Counter-Espionage schemes against Nazi Germany, but also American politicians. It is unknown, but every Commanding General of a Corps or Army had an FBI Agent on staff. General Patton’s staff FBI Agent was his nephew Fred Ayres Jr., who later wrote a book about his famous uncle titled Before the Colors Fade. It is interesting reading protective of Patton’s legacy but instructive to historians.

Following WWII, the mission of the OSS, a series of clandestine, highly trained commandos, language specialists, operatives, and analysts, became redundant to the needs of the service. Still, they proved so efficient in foreign intelligence collection that with the growing onslaught of our former ally and new enemy, the Soviet Union, a new purpose was imagined. 

The old OSS assets were folded into today's Central Intelligence Agency. However, their mandate was abroad, while the FBI was theoretically limited in conducting its intelligence operations within the borders of the US—years of confusion over who had what authority when a CIA operation overlapped with the FBI's authority. For a while, it was forbidden to share operational information.

Nevertheless, while the Department of Defense also had intelligence operations and worked out of military facilities, the FBI placed its agents in embassy staff as FBI representatives. The CIA operated out of their secret facilities but kept an eye on the FBI. The competition for intelligence was often fierce, the products (intelligence) usually less than the best, and accusations of the other's incompetence overshadowed the government's needs. Then came 9/11 and the introduction of the Patriot Act that had been sitting on a shelf waiting for such a disaster to consolidate the needs of the new growing un-American Deep State

The collusion of the government and the Military-Industrial Complex is when wicked minds turn greedy and conspire to take gobs of money from public coffers under the pretext of such programs as "The Inflation Reduction Act" to advance or sustain their agenda. Dictators do that because the need for money to maintain their dreams is the anchor point of fascism. It doesn't have to be but Herr Hitler used it to rebuild Germany's post-Versailles economy, employing millions, raising the standard of living of most Germans, making promises about restoring Germany's honor and greatness, at same time mandating all German citizens, except Jews, fall in line, salute and obey the will of the state for the greater good. Isn't that what Democrats are calling for today in fear of Trump's return?

Hitler knew the internal dangers to his Third Reich, so he created a bodyguard of young Germans yearning to serve the state in any capacity, for his protection. They were the SD, the SA, and, in turn, the SS, whose job it was to oversee policing, intelligence, and operate the death camp system in Nazi Germany. Our knowledge of these organizations is not lacking. If we look closely, we can see the faint but alarming outline of a totalitarian police state, rising like the SS of Nazi Germany here in America, operating independently, without fear, under the auspices of the Deep State, not the US Congress or the Constitution.

Intelligence has many facets, and keeping a leash on what information is disseminated or not up to leadership, what is essential and what is not, what is happening in other countries, and how their actions affect the US is the primary role of government Intelligence agencies. During the Cold War, intelligence was directed at protecting our military-industrial secrets from the Soviet bloc nations like Poland, East Germany, and others. Then the Soviet Union collapsed, and for a decade or so, we have idled along without a main enemy to confront but still spending wads of money, not on military stuff, but silly social programs to entrap Americans to government handouts further while ignoring China and North Korea militarism lurking on the horizon. Our Vietnam experience, a war we chose not to win, exhausted the patience of Americans' support, opening the door for Marxist-style radicalism to infiltrate our schools and start the process of reforming the minds of American children to think in terms of collectivism. Then 9/11 happened, and for a short while, Americans came together again to face an unsuspected but new common enemy, Radical Islam.

Welcome Barack Obama, who, alas, told us he wanted to change America fundamentally, and he did! He ordered the FBI and other intelligence agencies to cease training their agents on how to combat Islamic Jihadism and, too, consider Islam not as an enemy but as a peaceful friend, brushing off the 9/11 attacks as aberrations of radicals not worthy of the name Muslim. Under Obama's hands, the Patriot Act suddenly became an intelligence tool to be used, just as Hitler did in Germany, against the internal enemies of his State, generally White Christians, now MAGA conservatives, the first and second amendments of the Constitution, and any other law that stands in their way of completing the fundamental changing of America.

The intelligence agencies, especially the CIA under the directorship of John Brennan, a convert to Islam; the FBI under the directorship of James Comey, an apostate to the rule of law, the Director of National Intelligence; the Directors of ATF, IRS and now apparently, even the Secret Service, have brought their agencies entirely under the umbrella of growing radical Marxism that is the bedrock of the Biden-Harris administration. To complete the job, they have purposely flooded our borders with foreign invaders, overcoming America's resources, state by state, city by city, and county by county. Where is the outcry? It is ignored because while they are trying to stifle the First Amendment with censorship, they still know that it is the Second Amendment that protects the First, and they are coming after our constitutional means of self-defense.

The US intelligence agencies are the point of the spear if the Marxist government in waiting is going to succeed. Joe Biden just authorized a change to the Posse Comitatus Act to allow US Federal troops to assist police in riot situations with the authority to shoot to kill. It is unconstitutional, but do not stop trying! In the meantime, new foreign entanglements, Ukraine and Israel, and squalid little tribal wars in Africa have interfered with their agenda, rousing the suspicions of brain-inert Americans. Old enemies, Russia and China, are coalescing with Iran and North Korea to create a new Axis of Evil, and we sit here basically unprepared, knowing the threat but not facing it. Our US Navy is a case in point because it lacks sufficient warships to conduct a two-front war. The problems are many, and we desperately need Conservative American leadership.

November 5th's election should return Donald Trump to the White House, but he has only four more years. They have not given up trying to stop him for eight long years. We must focus on state and local politics to restore American constitutionalism. The fight is on, and it will be a long, hard slog, but we must "adapt, persevere, and overcome.
