Not that we'd expect one from this bunch.

There is no domestic strategy either

The Obama administration and the Democrats are still trying to "walk back" the president’s statement that "we have no strategy" to deal with ISIS. This shocked those of us paying attention to the brutality of the ISIS rampage through Iraq, the highly publicized beheadings of Americans, and direct threats to kill more Americans and eventually attack the U.S. here at home.
Even more shocking was the revelation that President Obama was aware of the ISIS organization and threats over a year ago, and that he did not take them seriously by referring to them as "junior varsity" terrorists just six months ago. Yes there have been some successful targeted air strikes, a limited number of troops sent back into Iraq for "security and advisory" purposes, humanitarian aid provided to desperate Iraqis trapped on top of a mountain, and some strong words coming from the president and vice president, but there is no strategy. Worse yet, the words don't even match the facts:
  • "No boots on the ground in Iraq." Over 1,100 boots on the ground in Iraq.
  • "Follow ISIS to the gates of hell!" But the troops can't leave their base.
  • "Justice will be served." But ISIS does not play by our rules.
The American people can only wait in frustration daily to hear and see what happens next as the president plays politics with the most volatile world situation threatening us during his presidency. Our only optimism is that our military leaders and intelligence community know what to do, but they are being restrained by an indecisive, overly cautious and politically motivated president.

Shocker! There's no domestic strategy either to address our anemic economic growth, out-of-control national debt, rising welfare rolls and joblessness for millions of workers looking for jobs, careers and upward economic mobility. All we get is administration and Democrat rhetoric that is also inconsistent with the facts:
  • "By any measure people are better off." By all measures they are not.
  • "Climate change is our biggest threat." The people say it's the economy.
  • "We now have more health care choices." We have fewer, more costly choices.
  • "Open immigration is a right." Then leave the doors to your house unlocked.
  • "Guns kill people." No, people kill people.
Granted, we cannot save all of the people blind to the failures of this president, his administration and the Democrats in office, and we can't rescue everybody from the "land of the gullible." But we can save the savable. There is more and more evidence that more and more people are beginning to see the hypocrisy and deceit by the Democrats, as they desperately try to put a happy face on failure with distraction tactics leading up to the November 2014 elections. Diplomacy alone is not a foreign policy strategy. Spending without economic growth is not a domestic strategy. And strong rhetoric is not a substitute for results. We ain't stupid! We will not be fooled!
