The seeds for the destruction of the United States of America were recognized by many, including our Founding Fathers. Wise men recognized human nature and the reality of man’s foibles

This is the Way America Ends

"Truth is a tyrant—the only tyrant to whom we can give our allegiance. The service of truth is a matter of heroism." ~ John F. Kennedy

If America and the Free World are to survive, there are truths that must be acknowledged. These truths were recognized by men and women far wiser than me. These are the red flag warnings of that should have provided the knowledge to prevent the reckless lawless chaos America and the Free World is experiencing in 2023. These reminders are in the service of Kennedy’s truth.

The Service of Truth

"It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error. It is better to stand alone with the truth, than to be wrong with a multitude." ~ Adrian Rogers, American Pastor

"The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie, deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic." ~ John F. Kennedy

"Truth will ultimately prevail where there is pains taken to bring it to light." ~ George Washington

"Devotion to the truth is the hallmark of morality; there is no greater, nobler, more heroic form of devotion than the act of a man who assumes the responsibility of thinking." ~ Ayn Rand

"Stand up for justice, stand up for truth; and God will be at your side forever." ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

"A lie doesn't become truth, wrong doesn't become right and evil doesn't become good just because it's accepted by a majority"~ Booker T. Washington

Government

Throughout history governments have come and gone. Wise people have observed and noted that there are lessons for all in the history of world governments.

"If you do not take an interest in the affairs of your government, then you are doomed to live under the rule of fools."Plato

“America is great because America is good; if America ever ceases to be good, she will no longer be great.” ~ Alex de Tocqueville

“The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only object of good government.” ~ Thomas Jefferson

“Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.” ~ John Adams

“Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” ~ George Washington

"Occupants of public offices love power and are prone to abuse it." ~ George Washington

"But if the laws are to be so trampled upon with impunity, and a minority is to dictate to the majority, there is an end put at one stroke to republican government, and nothing but anarchy and confusion is to be expected thereafter." ~ George Washington

"Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech." ~ Benjamin Franklin

"Does the government fear us? Or do we fear the government? When the people fear the government, tyranny has found victory. The federal government is our servant, not our master!" ~ Thomas Jefferson

"I think myself that we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious. Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have ... The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases. The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first." ~ Thomas Jefferson

"The issue today is the same as it has been throughout all history, whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite." ~ Thomas Jefferson

"Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny." ~ Thomas Jefferson

"A sacred respect for the constitutional law is the vital principle, the sustaining energy of a free government." ~ Alexander Hamilton

"Now, mark my words. So long as we are a young and virtuous people, this instrument [the constitution} will bind us together in mutual interests, mutual welfare, and mutual happiness. But when we become old and corrupt, it will bind no longer." ~ Alexander Hamilton

"Great Ambition, unchecked by principle, or the love of Glory, is an unruly Tyrant." ~ Alexander Hamilton

"Neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt." ~ Samuel Adams

"If our nation is ever taken over, it will be taken over from within." ~ James Madison

This is the way America ends. Not with a bang but a whimper

"The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny." ~ James Madison

"It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood." ~ James Madison

"The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation and foreign commerce. ... The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives and liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement and prosperity of the State." ~ James Madison

"Where an excess of power prevails, property of no sort is duly respected. No man is safe in his opinions, his person, his faculties, or his possessions." ~ James Madison

"The house of representatives ... can make no law, which will not have its full operation on themselves and their friends, as well as the great mass of society. This has always been deemed one of the strongest bonds by which human policy can connect the rulers and the people together. It creates between them that communion of interest, and sympathy of sentiments, of which few governments have furnished examples; but without which every government degenerates into tyranny." ~ James Madison

The seeds for the destruction of the United States of America were recognized by many, including our Founding Fathers. Wise men recognized human nature and the reality of man’s foibles. Do enough American citizens recognize what is happening in America today to connect the dots laid out before them? If not, I have taken the liberty to paraphrase a section of The Hollow Men by T.S. Eliot.

This is the way America ends.

This is the way America ends.

This is the way America ends.

Not with a bang but a whimper.

Steve Rossiter——

After a 55 year career as a professional pilot in the military, in law enforcement, in the private sector, and in federal civil service, I am now retired.

In many of these positions I repeatedly took an oath to defend the United States Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.
