You know a country is collapsing when its citizens’ free speech rights are being subverted from within, and the American government’s treatment of journalists like Emmy-winner Catherine Herridge reflects just that.
Earlier this year, a U.S. federal court held Herridge in civil contempt for refusing to disclose her confidential sources, which no legitimate reporter would do, for a series of national security stories that the people in charge didn’t want to be published.

Does that sound Third World to you? Could this be an act of revenge, punishing Herridge for being the only mainstream journalist to cover the Hunter Biden laptop scandal?
This story requires a lot of sorting through, and Catherine Herridge joined today’s Tucker Carlson Show to do just that, featuring a discussion on Herridge’s case, her Biden laptop coverage, the 2024 election, and more.
Catherine Herridge tells Tucker:
“One of our sons asked me, ‘Mom, are you going to go to jail?’ And I wanted to tell him that… in this country, where we say we value democracy and we value a vigorous press, that it was impossible. But I couldn’t offer him that assurance.”
