Three Conservative MPs from Calgary visited Punjab, India this week for reasons that remain unexplained

They were welcomed by Punjabi politicians in their official capacities as Canadian MPs. Armed security, police, and Nihangs (Sikh Warriors) with weapons were seen around them.

1. What was the purpose of this trip?

2. Why did they not mention it publicly?

3. Who paid for the trip? Canadian taxpayers, a Punjabi religious organization, or did they pay personally?
