Thursday Night - Debate or Debacle?

The first of a series of debates between Pretender Joseph Biden and President Donald Trump are to take place this Thursday evening. The stage has been set to ensure that Mr. Biden is declared the winner and that President Trump will be humiliated. You would think that the Left would have learned by now.

What are some of the tactics the Left might employ?

Given the current stream of attempts to remove Trump from the race, including a bogus felony conviction, gag orders, ongoing prosecutions for mishandling records, among others, it is entirely reasonable to expect that the debate will be just another attempt in the series. With that in mind, what are some of the tactics the Left might employ?

First is the host. CNN has been no friend of Trump, and has been offering biased and outright hostile reporting of Trump and his activities for several years. To expect them, in some overnight fit of remorse and repentance, to suddenly provide fair and honest coverage puts severe strains on credibility.

Even such tricks as manipulating stage lighting to give Trump a dark and brooding appearance while presenting Biden as glowing and radiant is not beyond consideration. There are many other things that can be done to the video and audio to create a favorable impression of Joe and a sinister picture of Donald.

Then there are the moderators. The selection of Jake Tapper, an individual who has repeatedly compared Trump to Hitler, is a clear signal of how the debate is expected to go. Does anyone actually believe that Mr. Tapper will be able to act as a fair and impartial judge given his strong opinions of Trump? We can hope that Mr. Tapper will rise above himself to serve as an honest moderator. And perhaps the horse will learn to sing.

Real question of whether Biden's medications will last for the duration of the debate

What about the rules? The moderators will have the ability to cut the microphone of Trump if he says anything they find disagreeable. It is not clear if Mr. Trump will know that his microphone has been cut. I can imagine a period where Trump is shown speaking, but there is no audio, an embarrassing period when the Left would hope he would look silly and powerless. 

Even dismissing that possibility, there is still the question of what speech will be allowed. Will Trump be silenced at the moderator's discretion, perhaps on signal from the Biden team? Will Biden be given rein to speak freely, including bringing out the distortions and disinformation he has been spouting on recent occasions? Will Trump be restricted in what he can say or how he can respond?

How will the questions be handled? Will Biden be given softball questions where he can respond that he solved the border crisis, has fixed climate change, and reinvigorated the economy? Will Trump be given questions which, in order to answer them, he would have to violate one of the numerous gag orders imposed on him? That would give ample reason to declare Biden the winner by showing that Trump was unable to answer important questions.

Of course, there is the real question of whether Biden's medications will last for the duration of the debate. His deteriorating condition has been obvious for months, despite claims that the numerous video records of his failings are "fakes". 

In any case, we can expect numerous dirty tricks from the Left in their support of Biden against the threat of Trump

They do lend credibility to the speculations that he is "juiced" before significant public appearances.

Rumors that the Biden administration engaged the services of the Disney animatronic engineering team to produce an animatronic robot duplicate of Joe Biden to participate in the Thursday debate are unconfirmed.

In any case, we can expect numerous dirty tricks from the Left in their support of Biden against the threat of Trump. I do not expect them to suddenly give up and declare Trump the winner. What will likely be the obvious outcome of the "debate" will be further evidence of the desperation of the Left and their willingness to use any dirty tactic they can conceive to try to discredit Trump, MAGA, and all of us who believe in truth, justice, and the American way of life.

If history is any guide, such exposure of corruption will do nothing more than reveal the depravity of the Progressive Left and garner more support for Trump. Americans don't like cheaters.
