Timely Reflections on the Third Secret

Timely Reflections on the Third Secret
With the crisis of faith ever intensifying, it behooves the Catholic hierarchy to reflect on a historic statement made forty-one years ago by Pope Paul VI. On the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the Virgin Mary’s last apparition at Fatima, the pope said:

“The tail of the devil is functioning in the disintegration of the Catholic World. The darkness of Satan has entered and spread throughout the Catholic Church even to its summit. Apostasy, the loss of the faith, is spreading throughout the world and into the highest levels within the Church.” (October 13, 1977)

Given the Holy Father’s words, it is evident that what we have witnessed since Vatican II is the satanically induced fall of the Catholic hierarchy that has been precipitating the widespread destruction and misguidance of the Church.

Satan penetrated to the highest realms of the hierarchy and captured bishops and cardinals at the highest levels of the Church, and is now using them to misguide the Church, the worst of it being that this has been done under the illusion of divine guidance. The Church today is truly degenerating under the illusion of progress.

Note that it was exactly 60 years after Fatima that Pope Paul gave us what appeared to be the gist of the Third Secret of Fatima—the long-awaited Secret that was supposed to be released by 1960, but never was. According to Sr. Lucy of Fatima, it was the expressed wish of the Blessed Virgin that the Secret be released by 1960.

Among those who have read and commented on the Third Secret, we find a common thread in that it concerned the great apostasy of the last times and how the satanic infiltration of heresy would occur at the very highest levels of the Church and filter down to the man in the pew.

Cardinal Mario Ciappi, who read the Third Secret and who was personal papal theologian to Popes John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I and John Paul II, said: “In the Third Secret it is foretold, among other things, that the great apostasy in the Church will begin at the top.”

The late papal advisor Fr. Malachi Martin—known for having provided a particularly clear picture of the Fatima Secret—stated on the Art Bell Show in 1998 that he read the Third Secret of Fatima in February 1960. Bound by oath not to reveal the text of the Secret, he commented on the basic gist of the Secret, i.e. its prediction of apostasy in the church, the attack on marriage, while refuting various apocryphal versions that callers were quoting to him on the program.

However, in response to an alleged quotation from the Third Secret about a pope who would be “under the control of satan,” Malachi replied, “Yes, it sounds as if they were reading the text of the Third Secret.”

According to Fatima experts, including the late Fr. Nicholas Gruner, the mention of a pope under Satan’s “control” would mean he is innocently bound and kept under control, as is the case now with Benedict XVI. He won’t speak the full truth about Rome’s present collusion with Antichrist, because he is bound by fears and kept under surveillance by an iron-clad Vatican bureaucracy that forced him into resigning. Jacinta, the youngest of the Fatima seers said on her deathbed that the Fatima Secret predicted they would disobey the pope and cause him much suffering.

Before his election to the papacy as Pius XII, Eugene Cardinal Pacelli in 1931 made a highly prophetic statement in response to the Fatima Third Secret.

“I am worried by the Blessed Virgin’s messages to Lucy of Fatima. This persistence of Mary about the dangers which menace the Church is a Divine warning against the suicide of altering the Faith, in Her liturgy…. I hear all around me innovators who wish to dismantle the Sacred Chapel, destroy the universal flame of the true Faith of the Church, reject Her ornaments and make Her feel remorse for Her historical past.

“A day will come when the civilized world will deny its God, when the Church will doubt as Peter doubted. She will be tempted to believe that man has become God.”

Hence, we can understand the significance of 1960 as the appointed year for disclosing the Third Secret, since it was only two years later that they would convene the Second Vatican Council, setting into motion this insidious departure from tradition that would make the Church “feel remorse for Her historical past.” Our Lady was attempting to avert this disaster to the Church.

What we have seen since the Council is a new epoch of denial. The great tragedy of our time is that the Church has lost confidence in the rule of tradition that Christ left us, while it now seeks a new-found ecumenical unity with man. The Church has truly been “tempted to believe that man has become God.”

Consider now the vision of nineteenth century Freemason and excommunicated priest, Canon Roca (1830-1893), who predicted that “the liturgy of the Roman Church will shortly undergo a transformation at an ecumenical council” in a move “to deprive the Church of its supernatural character, to amalgamate it with the world, to interweave the denominations ecumenically instead of letting them run side by side as separate confessions, and thus to pave the way for a standard world religion in the centralized world state.”

More than once it has surfaced that the Third Secret of Fatima spoke of “a bad council and a bad Mass.” This was reported by the Fatima Crusader in May 2009 and again by One Peter Five in May 2016. According to both reports, it wasn’t long after the supposed publication of the Third Secret by the Vatican in June 2000 that Cardinal Ratzinger [now Benedict XVI] told his good friend *Fr. Ingo Dollinger—a long-time friend and spiritual child of St. Padre Pio—that there is still part of the Third Secret that they have not published. “There is more than what we published,” Ratzinger said. He went on to tell Dollinger that the unpublished part of the Secret speaks of “a bad council and a bad Mass” that was to come in the future. (OnePeterFive)

A bad council and a bad Mass would certainly tie with Canon Roca’s prediction that the liturgy “will shortly undergo a transformation at an ecumenical council.” Among the instructions that accompanied this ecumenical council was the September 26, 1964, Instruction on the Liturgy, Inter Oecumenici, which outlined the new ruling for the Mass and sanctuary. Article 91 reads:

“The main altar should preferably be freestanding, to permit walking around it and celebration facing the people”

Unfortunately, celebration “facing the people” was universally implemented after Vatican II. This change, which was unprecedented in the 2000-year history of the Church, was calculated to bring about a shift of focus so that the emphasis is on the community, and not on God. This was the essential part of “the suicide of altering the Faith in Her liturgy” that Cardinal Pacelli dreadfully prophesied. The ancient serpent has done his work well.

Unfortunately, many lash out at this, arguing that the gates of hell can never harm the Church, but their argument holds no water. When Christ said that the gates of hell would never prevail against his Church, he in fact was telling us that the infernal gates would wage battle against the Church, but was nonetheless assuring us that the enemy would not succeed in eliminating the Church altogether. Scripture makes it clear that only a remnant would remain to meet with Christ at his Second Coming. (Apocalypse 1:7, 1 Thess. 4:15,16)

Needless to say, the powers of darkness are now waging their final battle against the Church as several popes and saints of the past warned would come to pass. St. Paul himself tells us that “in the last days, shall come dangerous times.” (2 Timothy 3:1)... “For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine.” (4:3)

The Church indeed is in the grips of the worst crisis of its 2000-year history, a crisis in which every member of the Church is being tried for his valor and strength. (Apoc. 3:10) It is a test to see if they will remain allegiant to the rule of tradition or if they will flow with the new order of change that has ensued since Vatican II.

Unfortunately, a great many are carelessly flowing with the times and can no longer distinguish between right and wrong, so great is the “diabolical disorientation” wrought by these “spirits of wickedness in the high places.”

(Ephesians 6:12) Under the illusion of divine guidance, the church today is being guided by temptation because these dark powers have captured the Church’s ruling body and are using it to mislead the faithful with the errors of modernism and change. The pirates have hijacked ship and have landed it shipwreck onto secular coasts.

It was for reason that His Holiness Benedict XVI said on July 15, 2017 that the Church today “is on the verge of capsizing.” His Eminence Raymond Burke echoed a similar note last year when he said: “Perhaps we have arrived at the end times.” (Catholic Herald, November 30, 2017)

Burke based his statement on the fact that the most fundamental Church teachings such as the sanctity of marriage and family are being cast aside by Rome and even by the pope. Sr. Lucy of Fatima told Cardinal Carlo Caffara in 1982 that “the final battle between the Lord and the reign of Satan will be about marriage and the family,” and her words are certainly being fulfilled.

Since 2013, the Vatican has repeatedly invited pro-abortion speakers to come and address the Church about their vision of a “depopulated” world, and in June 2017 the Vatican committed the treason of conferring a pontifical honor on abortion activist Lilianne Ploumen.

With this type of collusion with the synagogue of Satan, it’s no wonder that priests of the Vatican’s new Pontifical Academy for Life are making arguments that “some” abortions are morally acceptable, while religious communities are “celebrating” homosexuality.

We can understand why Benedict XVI said the Barque of Peter is about to capsize. Let us pray that the good pope will disclose the Third Secret of Fatima before his death, since this would confirm to the Church that the post-conciliar “reform” was not the work of God after all and would thus motivate the Church Militant to come forward with more vigor and fight these changes without scruple.

In the meantime, we follow St. Paul’s remedy to withstand the “operation of error” of the last times: “Stand fast, and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle.” (2 Thess. 2:14)

*Fr. Dollinger, who was known for his fidelity and personal holiness, faithfully maintained this testimony until his passing on June 11, 2017. (OnePeterFive)
