Tragedy as British police officer is killed in shoot-out in Canada as he tried to arrest suspect

A British police officer serving with a Canadian force was shot dead as he tried to arrest a suspect wanted in connection with a hate crime.

Constable Daniel Woodall, 35, was gunned down as he and his partner went to execute the warrant at a home in Edmonton, Alberta at just after 8pm last night.
