Troika of Discontent, Part Two

Following up on my column of February 05, 2009, “America’s Troika of Discontent” where I promised to list some of the things that have been considered by the new regime in Washington, DC; or should I say the new dictatorship, as a lot of what is being considered seems more like autocracy than democracy.

Given the reins of almost total control over our country’s governance, Obama and his servants, Reid and Pelosi will now force the changes he has been dreaming of and vaguely mentioning in his speeches. If the Republican party had some degree of solidarity this could have been prevented, but RINO’s exist and always at the very worst times they surface to contribute to the negative side of situations as far as the country is concerned. Even the few Independents vote with the Dems. Our legislative body, the Congress, is populated by two political parties. One is the Democrat party that is almost totally in the hands of the liberals, some of whom prefer the term ‘progressives’ as it sounds cleaner. They now have actual and perceived control of all branches of our government: the Executive Branch, (Presidency and Administration); the Legislative Branch, (both houses of Congress); and the Judicial Branch, (a majority of Supreme Court Justices.) After winning 28 states and the District of Columbia in the last election they also have control of a majority of our states as well. But the rest of us must be ever vigilant and careful lest we lose ALL of our freedoms and constitutional rights. An old adage tells us that “Absolute power corrupts, - absolutely.” These people now have absolute power and corruption is not just a concern, it is a REALITY. With the help of the RINO’s of the Republican party assisting these liberal taxpayer dollar spendthrifts there is only one destination for them and that is total governmental bankruptcy at both the state and federal levels. They can only go so high in their quest for revenues in the form of taxes before most of the large corporations that employ the great majority of our working citizens will have to throw in the towel. Which of course follows that those employees losing jobs will not be able to contribute with tax money, and instead will be seeking unemployment benefits from the government. And if you are anywhere near minimal intelligence you can see that when we reach that point we would be ripe for a takeover from terrorists or an outside government. The series of seemingly never-ending bailout bills that this current government seeks to foist on the public with the entreaties that if we don’t make all these obscene and ludicrously high expenditures to those who make the claims for them, we will be inviting disaster. Where in essence, the contrary is more truthful. The continuing expenditure of money not backed by any monetary considerations except hope and the expectancy of higher tax revenues will surely end in oblivion. In addition to the un-American liberal Democrat proposals on the Employee Free Choice Act to give unions a free hand in deciding elections without a secret ballot, and the abominable Freedom Doctrine which effectively removes freedom of speech for all conservatives mentioned in Part One, here are others that will be rammed through when enough votes are assured:

Making the District of Columbia a state.

Law of the Sea Treaty

Allow openly gays in our military

Mis-handling and downsizing of our military

Global Poverty Act

Leave Iraq quickly

More government funding for abortions

North American Union & NAFTA superhighway

Weakening of our border security

Obama meeting with enemy leaders with compromises

Expanded government controlled health care

Advancement of Islam/Muslim influence in schools & religion

Hate Crimes Bill to assist gays who feel oppressed

Non-discrimination Act setting quotas on numbers of gays to be hired

Providing amnesty with free government benefits for illegal aliens

Excessive spending on continued bailouts causing huge deficits

Assisting the ACLU in advancing communistic, anti-Christian views

Standing with Muslims in case of showdown – as stated by Obama

Tax increases to pay for all the added spending

Redistribution of wealth from those who have earned it to those who have not

All of the foregoing have either already been put into legislative form for subsequent presentation for voting and enacting into law; or have been mentioned as being considered for action by this new Administration. There are many dark days ahead for our country.
