A greatly overlooked segment of the electorate

Trump has wakened a sleeping giant

Ted Cruz has suspended his campaign. He’s not conceding just not campaigning any more. This probably clears the way for a Trump nomination at the convention.
Trump is a lightening rod for controversy. He is brash and irritating. He manages to push the buttons of thoughtful conservatives. And he riles Democrats. Unfortunately for both groups, Trump has tapped into a greatly overlooked segment of the electorate: Working folks, small (truly small) business owners, military members and veterans; the people who were once considered the backbone of our country. He has listened to our frustrations, articulated our concerns and validated our position. Trump has wakened a sleeping giant. It is now our responsibility to insure his election. We need to search for common ground. We need to reach a hand out to Cruz supporters and help them to feel excited about Trump and to feel hopeful about his candidacy. Most of all, we need to make sure we learn and share all the reasons to vote for Trump and sweep him into power. It is long past time for our active participation in the process. Are you willing to sit idly by so Hillary Clinton can continue the Obama policies?
