Trump indictment, FOX News, Tucker Carlson, Jonathan Turley—wait; is it possible that…

-- Jon Rappoport

Attorney Jonathan Turley often shows up on FOX to explain legal issues and court cases. Until now, I can’t recall him ever saying accusations against Trump had serious merit.

But just after the indictment in the Trump documents case was unsealed, Turley spoke with FOX and other outlets, like the Grim Reaper in a cemetery at midnight, unleashing a collage of comments that came across like a burial ceremony:

“It is an extremely damning indictment…it’s overwhelming in details…it’s really breathtaking… obviously, this [what Trump did] is mishandling…putting classified documents into ballrooms and bathrooms ...borders on the bizarre…serious threat [to Trump]…not an indictment you can dismiss…whole new ballgame…[there are] witnesses who apparently testified under oath [against Trump], gave statements to federal investigators, both of which can be criminally charged if they’re false. Those witnesses are directly quoting the president in encouraging others not to look for documents or allegedly to conceal them. It’s damaging.”

Part of the reason they dumped Carlson was to keep his defense of Trump off the air?

Talk about damaging. Turley came on like a grave digging DOJ prosecutor. And there he was, on FOX.

Ah, but this is not the same FOX it was a few months ago. This is now a news outlet that’s scurried away from MAGA.

This is a news operation that fired its number one star, Tucker Carlson—knowing the move would torpedo their ratings across the board.

Had Carlson remained at FOX, his comments on the Trump documents-indictment would certainly have been in defense of the Orange Don.

And would have galvanized MAGA people.

But instead, we got Jonathan Turley clanging bells of doom.

Is it possible FOX ownership knew, in advance, that this documents-indictment was going to be A Big One? They were briefed?

And part of the reason they dumped Carlson was to keep his defense of Trump off the air?

Rachel Maddow (MSNBC) is already floating the idea that prosecutors could make a deal with Trump. He escapes conviction if he doesn’t run for the Presidency.

Clearly, the Democrats are pursuing multiple cases against Trump to achieve that very goal.

Tucker Carlson was holding the line. He was perceived as Trump’s number-one defender in the American news media.

How’s this for a FOX jackpot? Rupert Murdoch doesn’t want to hear more chatter about rigged elections. He doesn’t want to hear trumpets with high ratings celebrating Trump on his own network. So he settles the Dominion lawsuit by paying out a few hundred million bucks, promises Dominion Tucker will be gone, fires Tucker, and clears the way for the documents-indictment against Trump to be a banshee screaming success.

Sounds like one more layer of bullshit and censorship laid over free speech. But that’s a fashion trend now

It’s a plan. Not a particularly brilliant one. But effective. Not chess. Just a checkers piece jumping. One two three. Done.

And quite possibly, a few nasty skeletons hidden in the FOX/Murdoch closet—which could have emerged during the Dominion suit—stay in the dark.

One other point about Tucker. Night after night on FOX, he was more than willing to talk about rigged elections. Convincingly. Murdoch—and the Democrats—want a clear glide path to victory in 2024. They don’t want a guy with a hundred million viewers standing on the tarmac waving off the landing and forcing the plane to stay in the wind blown sky.

Which is why, now that Tucker has shown up on Twitter with a new show, FOX is threatening to sue him.

They still have him under contract, yet they’ve fired him, they’ve taken him off the air, AND they say the contract bars him from launching a new program.

Sounds a little strange. Sounds like a dog muzzle.

As in: FOX supersedes the 1st Amendment.

Sounds like one more layer of bullshit and censorship laid over free speech. But that’s a fashion trend now.
