I am but a simple minded Trumpkin

Trump Supporter, 101

There seems to be much speculation as to what causes a person to support Donald Trump. Almost every Washington D.C. Establishment pundit, consultant, and bathroom attendant has a theory. Some of it pure speculation, some of it derived from Pew research polls, focus groups, and think tanks. All of it has been gleamed over with microscopes, late nights have been logged, and countless gallons of Starbucks has been consumed. The result? No one inside the beltway has a clue so they just label them misguided low information isolationist rubes with racist tendencies throwing a tantrum all the while too moronic to understand why. I am one of "Them". And being one of them, I will save the Washington D.C. Establishment further confusion and embarrassment and explain why this "Trumpkin" is supporting Mr. Trump. So, please, Washington D.C. Establishment, get your Mac books and iPads out and be ready to take notes. Class is now in session.
Let me address something that is so widespread in the Washington D.C. Establishment that it must be addressed before we move forward. What Ivy-League institution has taught its students that besmirching the people you are trying to win over to support your candidates is a winning strategy? Whoever this institution is you should strongly consider withholding your annual alumni dues until the professor teaching this line of thought is removed from the political science department. To say it is counterproductive would be an understatement. What it is, without glossing it over, is just plain damn stupid. I resent it. In fact, I resent it so much that it makes my decision to support Mr. Trump that much firmer. I refuse to address the various labels you have given me that describe me as everything that I am not just because I support Mr. Trump. He refuses to be cowed by the political correct Thought Police all of you seem to be so fearful of come election season. We are kindred spirits in this stance. This political correct idiocy has gone on far too long and someone needs to show some fortitude in confronting it. And because of this, Mr. Trump is my man. Mr. Trump is not the ideal "conservative" per your label, but then again, neither was John McCain or Mitt Romney. That is why your claims of Mr. Trump not being" conservative" enough ring hollow and resound only in your echo chamber. Your support of the last two Republican presidential candidates clearly show you did not worry about this previously. This leaves me to question why then should I be concerned about "conservative" credentials now. The answer is I am not, and neither are you. And because of this, Mr. Trump is my man. Mr. Trump has been the only person who is publicly, without being grinded into undecipherable political sausage filling, to state what my concerns are. I am worried about the United States border, who is going through it, and what they intend to do once here. I am worried how this influx is going to affect American jobs. Jobs me, my family, and my friends and neighbors need now and in the future. Will the jobs be there if and when we need one? What will the effect be on the wages offered? How much will I have to pay to support their well being until they find employment? I know this may be a surprise to you, but I do follow news and events that concern me and my country. I see what is happening in Europe. The rapes, the riots, the assault on host countries established cultures. Mr. Trump sees it too. He is forcing, yes, forcing, the people you support and possibly work for to confront the reality that comes with the question of immigration reform. For this you label Mr. Trump, and me by extension, racist. You throw that label out like every college student with a bull horn and the false security of micro aggression free zones thinking it negates the fact a threat does exist and needs to be addressed. Mr. Trump is willing to address the possible threat. You had to be dragged kicking and screaming to even acknowledge it And because of this, Mr. Trump is my man.

Mr. Trump is a businessman and obviously a successful one. If there was ever a business in need of a CEO willing to turn it around and unravel the mess it has become, it is Washington, D.C. I know it may shock you that I have figured out what you thought was a hidden secret only the Washington D.C. Establishment was privy to. Yes, long ago I figured out that our government is in fact a business which has been designed to enrich those of the Establishment Political Class. From politician to pundit, our government has become the most corrupt, mismanaged family business in our country. The accounting practices used by the Washington D.C. Establishment to hide what truly is happening in this business blow past the horrors of Enron's books leaving it but a dot in the rear-view mirror traveling down Corruption Road. I am concerned that this will not get exposed and people held accountable if another politician is elected. After all, they are part of the problem. Mr. Trump is an outsider, has proven he is successful, and is willing to say "You're Fired!" to the people who actually need to be fired. And because of this, Mr. Trump is my man. There is one more reason why I support Mr. Trump. It is the biggest reason. You, the Washington D.C. Establishment, who promised me that you would work to fix all that is wrong in Washington D.C. seemed to make it worse. It is you, the Washington D.C. Establishment who said this repeatedly, never came through even when you had the power and the means to do so. Finally, I realized you, the Washington D.C. Establishment, that had been lying to me all this time. So now it is you, the Washington D.C. Establishment, who have abused my trust and good faith for the last time. Therefore, because Mr. Trump is NOT you, Washington D.C. Establishment, Mr. Trump is my man. Now, before you put your Mac Books and iPads away, I want to make it clear I only speak for myself and my reasons for supporting Mr. Trump. But, I can say with certainty, I speak for many other supporters of Mr. Trump as well. Like me, I believe they also are amazed that you have not been able to figure this out on your own. Oh, before you go... Can somebody please stop by the National Review and share your notes with them. If anyone needs a lesson on who and why someone supports Mr. Trump, it's those folks. It is too bad that it is too late to stop them from making an # of themselves, but then what do I know? I am but a simple minded Trumpkin. Class dismissed.
