It feels overwhelmingly likely that Joe Biden did not actually just find out about his cancer. Chances are, he’s known for years.

If that’s true, then his presidency was even more of an attack on democracy than anyone realized. An 80-year-old cancer patient obviously can’t run the country, so who did during the former president’s four years in office?
