Mistakes good or bad are a part of our development

Unconditional love either way

Life is nothing more than a trial and error. Trial and error brings success and failure. Perfection is never guaranteed. Mistakes are missed opportunities falling short of God’s intended purpose or His intended purpose. Whether the mistakes are in finances, failed relationships, or personal issues, God still loves us. Our mistakes in the eyes of a person can be insurmountable but from God’s perspective, it’s for our good.

A mistake can become a learning opportunity. The prodigal son returned home with much fanfare from his father. He was lost but now he is found. The situation was bad in the beginning but it turned out for the best for him and his father. Regardless of our actions, God loves us in our chaos to bring us back to His original purpose for our lives. Life happens every day; it may not be apparent at the time but will be revealed. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 states that we are comforted in our mistakes by God and in turn we are to comfort others going through the same issue. Mistakes (good or bad) are a part of our development. We will become stronger, faithful, and resilient. Our discomfort, isolation, and embarrassment are used for not only ourselves but for the growth of others. Our faults and imperfections are used for His good to help others. Just think what you have gone through already in your life. Can your life be used as an example for others? Whether your mistake is financial, family, or personal issues, you are loved and will overcome it by helping others. Here are a few more reminders on mistakes:
  • Makes us stronger - Your and my mistakes do not matter in the eyes of a human; God loves us unconditionally. His love is developing us and making this situation perfect in our weakness.
  • Confess it – Forgive and move on, God has already done it. Live your life.
  • Learn from it - Learn from the mistakes and don’t repeat it; put boundaries around yourself.
  • Opportunity for others - Others need to hear your story; your misfortune is a learning opportunity for others. Share how God brought you out of that issue to where you are today.
Make it a great day!
