VIDEO: Dennis Rodman goes nuts on CNN

I know what you're going to say. "What do you mean goes nuts?" Fair question. But if this is the guy representing our country in "basketball diplomacy" or any other kind of diplomacy, particularly in dealing with a petulant lunatic who may possess nuclear weapons . . . OK, I'm still not totally convinced John Kerry is preferable, but see for yourself:

It would be a fool's errand to really offer much in the way of analysis here, because the guy is clearly more than a few grains short of a full salt shaker. Then again, on a day when Rob's bringing us claims about aliens from the former Defense Minister of Canada, folks, I've got to offer up what I can. My question is this: We know Rodman is off his rocker, but what's with the other NBA players who joined in this ridiculous stunt? What's going through the mind of a passably rational person who gets approached by Dennis Rodman with the suggestion that he join a trip to North Korea to play basketball before Kim Jong Un, and who responds by saying, "Great idea, Dennis! When do we leave?" The players in the background look like they wish they could step in and rescue him, but they don't dare. Anyway, serious question: It comes as no surprise to some of us that Rodman is unstable. Ask any Pistons fan who remembers him from back in the day as a member of the Bad Boys. But apparently this is a revelation for the Obama Administration and the State Department. Now that they can see him in all his glory, really, is there no way to stop a guy like this from getting in front of a dangerous enemy of this country and doing God-knows-what?
