I'm brokenhearted right now.
Not because you took our laptop and iPad, even though that really sucked. But honestly? You can keep them. They're just things. Stuff. Replaceable.
But I'm sitting here crying because you took my son's blue MEC backpack, which had a toy lion and a duck in it. He's loved his lion ever since he was a baby. And tonight, I had to listen to him cry himself to sleep, alone in the darkness.
If you've ever lost something that you loved...please please PLEASE return his toys.
I don't know why you stole our things. I like to think that you needed the money, and didn't look inside the bag before you took it. I forgive you, I really do. I don't presume to think that I can ever know what or why you were driven to steal. That's not for me to know or to judge.
I'm begging you...please return his toys. I can replace the Lego that was in the bag. But there's no way that I can replace his beloved toy lion.
I'm willing to pay for the postage from Vancouver to Halifax, so please don't let that deter you.
