Good morning and welcome back. Last night I woke up at 1 a.m., got up, and Cheyenne and I went outside. I nursed a cup of coffee while Cheyenne was sniffin’ around the grounds. Oh she loves those early morning runs around the yard and takes great pride in “protectin” ole Dub from boogers. So far I have to admit she must be doing a pretty good job, cause as of yet, I ain’t seen the first booger…period!

Well, after I’d drank a couple cups of coffee, and Cheyenne had cleared the area, we went inside to see what might be on the TV. I caught “The Ernie Pyle Story,” about 10 minutes into it. I’d read on Ernie Pyle before, and knew about him, but I hadn’t seen this before. This is a documentary, and I found it very interesting. If you get a chance to watch it, please do. While watching this, and all the different places Pyle reported from, it dawned on me just how lucky we are to have been born in America…”the land of the free, and the home of the brave.” This got me to thinking about the freedoms our Country provides for each and every one of us, and the power our elected officials have bestowed on themselves, but by doing so, the freedoms we as Americans are letting them take away from us. This is one thing that bothers me to no end. Our elected officials, through their power and lust for more, have elevated themselves above the rest of us. This is not only their fault, but putting some of the blame where it lays, is our fault too. We went to sleep at the wheel, and now that we’re finally beginning to “snap outta’ it,” we have much work to do, and like I say, we brought a lot of it on ourselves. Washington has to be cleaned up, and people who are involved in our government these days have to be made accountable…accountable to the people once again. This starts with each one of us. We need to get our ducks in a row. We need to research and learn…WHO are these people we elect for office? More...

Dub and Deb——

‘Ridin Out The Recession With Dub and Deb in “Miz Judi’s Kitchen’!

Note to Readers: There are a few things that Dub doesn’t know but one thing he does know is that the word ‘Riding’ (as in Riding Out the Recession) is spelled with a ‘g’ at the end.  But Dub not only walks the walk, but speaks like he is: down home, true blue, and plain speakin’ country folk.

Dub and Deb are both native Floridians, live in Central Florida, and run a small business as well. They have five children, and seven grandchildren.

Both love to cook, love to laugh, grow a garden, and generally try to “aggravate” most anyone around them basically…all in good fun, of course!
