What If…

Most of us who have raised children have had more than our fill of the question that begins with, “What if…”, but after experiencing nearly twenty years of a slow slide into socialism beginning with the administration of George Bush Sr., I find myself in the unique situation of asking that question as a grown man.

What if every American citizen decided to punish those television and radio stations that advertised phony health products by refusing to buy anything they advertised until those ads were pulled? What if parents refused to allow their kids to go back to school until those schools dropped the no child left behind nonsense? What if they did the same thing until teachers got merit pay? What if every tax payer refused to pay the estate tax, better known as the death tax, but instead put every penny into a tax free Christian charity? What if we stopped using any government office until they allowed 24 hour and weekend online options for those same services? What if everyone who believed in Jesus prayed in a government building? What if the next time some Muslim radical group attacked the US we turned Mecca into a crater? What if we brought every soldier home from the Middle East and told them they could keep their oil, we’re going to start producing our own? What if Americans turned down the lousy choices the party gives us for candidates and we chose our own? What if we left the Doctors office one minute after our appointment time passed? What if we asked for every political promise to be put into writing? What if we told Congress that they had to have the same retirement and healthcare we have? What if we told accident lawyers they had to live with 10%? What if Michael Moore wasn’t allowed to profit off of Capitalism? What if we insisted that everyone got exactly the same opportunity to fail or succeed, regardless of their race? What if we made English the official language of North America? No more taxpayer funded multiculturalism? What if every citizen insisted on Constitutional proof before acceding to any bureaucratic demand? What if we told the UN to move? There are probably a hundred or more additional what ifs out there. Perhaps you have a few you could ask. I imagine those liberals who love to hate me have a few as well. Isn’t it interesting that a conservative forum allows their comments but lefty forums will ban those of conservatives; which leads me to one last question. What if the fairness doctrine was actually fairly applied and folks like Michael Moore had to allow time for rebuttal?
