What Was Boston Thinking When They Elected Michelle Wu?

Unfortunately, for myself and other writers, Democrat mayors of major cities provide continuous fodder to report on. As a writer, that may seem like a good thing, but every time one of these narcissistic mental midgets exposes their moronic ways, someone is hurt. One way or another, the citizens of these cities are forced to bear a burden brought on by their decisions.

Michelle Wu is the mayor of Boston, and like all Democratic mayors, she is an offensive presence who should have no power over others. Wu first became national news in 2023 when she decided only to invite people of color to an office Christmas party. That plan was foiled when a staff member accidentally mailed the invitation to everyone, not just those of color as Wu intended. Wu called it an “Electeds of Color Holiday Party,” but in reality it was open racism and division that brought embarrassment onto the city.

Last year, Wu proposed that children as young as eleven should be able to vote on the city’s budget. Fortunately, rational voices were heard. City Councillor Ed Flynn, a fellow Democrat, criticized Wu for her "tone-deaf" and "unserious" proposal to allow illegal migrants and children as young as 11 to vote on the city's budget.

“During this time of great fiscal uncertainty — with a study warning that remote work policies and the city’s declining commercial property values may cost us $500 million in revenue annually, as well as a subsequent proposal to also tax commercial property at a higher rate — now more than ever, it is critical that we show the taxpayers of Boston that we take our financial responsibilities seriously.”

“Allowing children to decide the usage of taxpayer dollars would do just the opposite and be viewed as tone-deaf, unserious, and wholly inappropriate by my constituents.”

“Civic engagement for our youth is critically important; however, allowing children as young as 11 years old to decide on the use of budget dollars sends the wrong message to neighbors who have faced years of increased property taxes.

“Deciding and voting on the budget should be an informed decision, one that the residents of Boston have entrusted to their duly elected officials. I believe that allowing children as young as 11 years old to vote on these matters will be viewed as out-of-touch and reckless.”

No kidding. Eleven-year-old kids can’t decide between a Snickers bar and a Kit Kat. This is just another chance to influence voters and bring in an easily intimidated voting base.

On Saturday afternoon, two people ran into the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Copley Square, who were being pursued by a man with a knife that was trying to stab them.

An off-duty police officer inside the establishment identified himself to the attacker and instructed him to drop his knife.

Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox explained:

“The officer then instructed the man to drop the weapon, to which he did not comply. The officer then discharged his weapon to stop the threat and the armed man was struck. He was then taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.”

“The officer was transported to a hospital for evaluation, but at this time, there are no other reported injuries,” Cox added, as reported by the Daily Mail.

To rational people, it’s obvious that the police officer involved in this incident acted correctly and probably saved lives. Had he not been in the restaurant, there is no telling how many people may have been injured or killed.

However, short-sighted and cold-hearted Mayor Wu started her press conference off expressing sympathy for the would-be murderer.

“My condolences and all of our thoughts are with the family of the individual whose life has been lost,” Wu stated.

“I am also thinking of all the people who were impacted here today in one of the busier parts of the city with this tragedy. I’m glad the officer is safe and very grateful for a quick response from all of our first responders.”

Two other city officials also started their remarks in a similar fashion, and none of them specifically thanked the officer involved. The intended victims weren’t singled out either, which sent a clear message about the mayor’s priorities.

Wu is also scheduled to testify before Congress on Wednesday due to her belligerent stance regarding ICE. The city has recently conflicted with federal immigration authorities, and Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan, who criticized Boston's leadership concerning their lack of cooperation.

On February 23^rd, Homan said:

“The police commissioner of Boston, Michael Cox, stated, You said you’d double down on not helping law enforcement officers with ICE. I’m coming to Boston and I’m bringing hell with me.”

For her part, Wu self-righteously defended the city’s stance, calling Homan “clueless” and emphasizing that “Boston is welcoming and safe for everyone.”

Wu is the one who is clueless. She is another agenda-driven leftist that has abandoned her responsibilities to the people of Boston. She sympathizes with the criminal element and despises the rights of victims.
