The San Francisco Chronicle just announced they are about to close down. The New York Times are borrowing money at 14% interest from Carlos Slim. Many other papers are heading for bankruptcy. ABC, CBS and NBC are in financial trouble. CNBC and CNN are barely hanging on.

Where are people getting their news these days? FOX news, Internet and talk radio are where people are going. Perhaps if the mainstream media started fairly reporting the news people would buy their products. If they would report to the world that President Obama says one thing while doing another people will believe them. This week is an excellent example. President Obama says there are no earmarks in a bill with 8700 earmarks. The press didn’t notice. Keith C. De Filippis San Jose, CA
