Where we are being led

Can it get any worse? Before I answer that I’d like you to ponder the first couple of months of the Obama administration and the signs that lead me to believe that the floodgates are already wide open.

In less than a quarter of one year Barrack Hussein Obama has done more to damage America in the eyes of patriotic and common sense citizens as well as shown himself an incompetent and weak leader on the world stage. His latest response to the defiant missile launch by North Korea is downright sickening at best, and un-American at its core. As one patriot said: It was not unlike a bar bully groping the first lady Michelle and Barack responding by giving him a lecture on sexual harassment. Even many who voted for BHO suspected that the real metal of our President in Training was not the steel resolve of a true leader, but more the consistency of a marshmallow. It would be easy to simply list the dangerous and disappointing edicts of the young administration. 1. From a morality standpoint he reversed the Bush stands on stem cells and abortion, showing his lack of Christian values. More people in America believe he is a Muslim than think he’s truly Christian. 2. His multi-trillion dollar budget will heap an historic debt on this nation effectively neutering our strength as a world power. Along the way he has effectively started us down the steep slide of socialism while gaining governmental power over the private sector. His pure naiveté of the free market-- or maybe his better understanding of Marxism- is abundantly and shockingly clear. 3. His conciliatory bow to a Saudi Arabian king followed by his statements of admiration for a religion that debases women and praises the killing of non-believers shows where his heart beats the hardest. But rather than continue to list the deep disappointments of this young presidency, allow me to throw a few stones at the Right. There are a few voices of dissent that clearly warned us of the eventual dismantling of or once great country under an Obama presidency. But how many of us envisioned the perfect storm of an economic crisis, an imbalanced and unchecked democratic congress, and the fruition of decades of revisionist history? The lack of understanding of the true meaning of the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights by a vast majority of American citizens is not only apparent, but has been the plan of the Left since the advent of the National Education Association teacher’s union. Dumb down the electorate, erase, blur, or revise the past. Heap scorn on those hallowed traditions that were foundational of this great nation. The axiom which states: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” is about to be proven true again. The questions we must ask ourselves are these: Have we started down a path that is irreversible? Or is what we are experiencing now simply the fruit of generations that have forgotten the Divine Providence of America and come to believe in their own special interests? Do we have the stomach to fight for what our forefathers risked when they separated from the tyranny of Britain? How many Americans have read the Declaration of Independence and truly meditated on its final statement? And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.
