White House threatens Netanyahu over D.C. visit - 'There will be a price'

Benjamin Netanyahu is used to being threatened. His country is surrounded by a cadre of the worst nations on Earth - several of which have threatened to eliminate Israel from the face of the Earth. Now, however, when he's not dealing with inbound rockets or Iran's nuclear sabre rattling, Netanyahu will have a new enemy screaming at him. ...One who lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

As reported by The Times of Israel, an unnamed administration official spoke with Haaretz and actually threatened the Israeli Prime Minister over John Boehner's plan to have him address Congress.
We thought we’ve seen everything,” the newspaper quoted an unnamed senior US official as saying. “But Bibi managed to surprise even us. “There are things you simply don’t do. He spat in our face publicly and that’s no way to behave. Netanyahu ought to remember that President Obama has a year and a half left to his presidency, and that there will be a price,” he said. Officials in Washington said that the “chickenshit” epithet — with which an anonymous administration official branded Netanyahu several months ago — was mild compared to the language used in the White House when news of Netanyahu’s planned speech came in.
Ooooooooh! "There will be a price." Since Obama's a real hard case, we're sure Prime Minister Netanyahu is quaking in his boots. After all, he may be comfortable confronting homicidal enemies in the Middle East - most of whom would like to bomb Israel back into the Stone Age - but we're sure he finds this guy terrifying: Actually, Obama is pretty scary. ...But you only have to fear his actions if you have the misfortune of living in a country where people were foolish enough to elect him.
