White Leftists Don't Protest For Black Crime Victims

Trigger warning: The following is a politically independent safety critique of why the left side of the aisle rarely hits the streets for victims of violent traitors to my majority Democrat community. It's also not conservative 'whataboutism' deflecting attention solely upon Black suspects.

My 'safety creation' includes marching against violent community treason or giving out fliers on sidewalks after the murder of two high school students years ago.

I've also appeared on corporate media (radio and television) discussing various cases, including speaking up for wrongly prosecuted citizens who defended themselves.

Additionally, I've marched with leftist activists opposed to crony capitalism during the local incarnation of the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement.

I even coordinated 'free security' for its encampment across from New Orleans city hall shortly before police ended it.

Unfortunately, when it comes to Black crime victims targeted by Black criminals, local leftists are nowhere to be found. Our community casualty rate isn't an important enough front since it can't be used to topple conservatives.

New Orleans is a center-to-far left city with a deep swath of Green Party and Democratic Socialists comprising its activist majority.

Vigils honoring our fallen or press conferences calling out a specific murder or brutal crime sprees are rarely attended by Green Party or Democratic Socialist neighbors—not even when elementary school students or high schoolers are gunned down in uniform.

They do, however, faithfully attend 'Peace Walks' accompanied by brass bands as part of festive street processions.

That's unacceptable to me since violent crime overwhelmingly targets the very working class leftist activists claim to represent.

Out of working class victims, Black ones are disproportionately predominant. Again, my citing this deadly disparity isn't conservative 'whataboutism' as critics often label this fact.

I'm not feeding into the 'Black crime' genetic or cultural narrative so popular on the far right. I'm addressing the actions of individual criminals instead of criminalizing an entire community.

Ironically, numerous White leftists here have been crime victims and take active safety precautions despite assigning blame for violence on macro issues instead of destructive 'micro' or personal decision making by suspects.

That said, White leftists don't protest for Black crime victims if the suspect isn't somehow connected to their perception of the right.
