Whoa: Washington Post reporter addressed Democrat group on how to 'get the economic narrative right'

Whoa: Washington Post reporter addressed Democrat group on how to 'get the economic narrative right' There's actually no bad news here if you're a conservative. A WaPo reporter sheds all pretense of objectivity, goes ahead and addresses a group of Democrats, giving them advice on how to propagandize about the economy. She's sharing the stage with George Soros too, for those of you who knee-jerk to that name. And we found out about it. This is awesome in every way.
Why? Because I hardly see the difference between a WaPo reporter advising Democrats at one of their conferences and simply doing it through what she writes in the paper. The media are constantly giving guidance to Democrats so if she actually shows up and does it in person, all that means is that she got to travel. The benefit for our side? It gets that much harder for the MSM to pretend to the general public that they're unbiased. Excellent work here by the Washington Free Beacon:
The Democracy Alliance went to great lengths to keep the identities of its members and guests confidential at its fall investment conference last week at the La Costa Resort, but the Washington Free Beacon obtained a detailed conference agenda that lists both events and featured guests. Among them was Ross, a national reporter who closely covered the 2016 presidential campaign for the Washington Post and has since continued to cover the Trump administration. Ross sat on a panel to assist conference-goers on the topic of "getting the economic narrative right" in future elections, according to the agenda, which can be viewed in full here.

Ross, whose panel was sandwiched by a talk with liberal billionaire George Soros and a message by Democratic senator Amy Klobuchar (Minn.) on Russian interference in the 2016 election, helped attendees explore questions such as: "What do progressives stand for?" "In this panel discussion, developed by the DA's Inclusive Economy Fund, we pose some fundamental questions, including: What do progressives stand for? How do we grapple with the tough issues? What story are we trying to tell and how does it play out in communities across the country? How do we translate what the polls and research tell us into the compelling narratives that will build the public will to reorient our economy and combat inequality?"
Ross's excuse supposedly is that she was there as part of the outreach she's doing for a book about economic inequality that she's writing independent of her job with the Post. Nice try, but when the agenda promotes you based on your status as a Washington Post reporter, you can hardly claim that's not the reason people are there to listen to you - nor can you seriously claim not to be representing the Post in your appearance. Now, it certainly does appear that she did this without telling her bosses at the Post, so the Post can plausibly claim they didn't sanction her apperance. But that's not the issue. The issue is that Ross covers the Trump Administration with the full sanction of the Post, while she's not only a philosophical liberal, she's even willing to engage in activism in support of Democrats groups.

The Post should pull her from coverage of the White House after this

The Post should pull her from coverage of the White House after this, but it will be a hollow gesture if they do. It's not as if her editors don't know that she's biased in favor of the Democrats and against Trump. Of course they know. If you've ever spent time in a newsroom, you know that you're familiar with everyone's opinions and leaning. The very discussion of stories and news angles would reveal that beyond a shadow of a doubt. And if they do pull Ross from the White House beat - which as I said, they should - all they'll do is put another liberal reporter on the beat who will cover it exactly the same way Ross did. Come to think of it, maybe we're better off if they keep her covering the White House. At least now everyone knows, as if we didn't suspect before, that Ross is a Democrat shill and that the Post allows this to go on under the guise of objective journalism. Pretty much like everything the MSM does these days. I guess it's nice to at least be out in the open about it.
