When will the House put the American people first and recognize we may need more money to pay the mortgage next month, so quit spending and budget for the future

Why Can't Congress Do the Math?

Imagine you have no money, because you have lost your job. Now you have to borrow enough from the bank to pay your mortgage and buy food for your family. When you go to the bank you actually borrow enough to get you through the next four months, but instead of saving the extra cash, you go out and buy a television, some clothes, a new sofa and put a down payment on a car. Should you have considered saving this money to pay the mortgage and buy groceries the next few months or have fun blowing it on things that are not necessary now?

The majority of Americans know the answer to this question

The majority of Americans know the answer to this question. Why? Because they work hard and understand they have to budget their money. They know you shouldn't spend money on useless things when you may not have a job next month. So, why is it that our representatives in the Senate and the House can't seem to grasp this concept? Democrats and Republicans came together to develop a bill that would give Americans a hand up during this National Health Crisis. However, right before the bill was to be signed, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer come in and add millions of dollars to the bill for useless items that will do nothing to help Americans nor have any effect on the coronavirus. Why? Because they care more about their agenda than how many people will go hungry or even die while our representatives bicker and fight for "things,” that have nothing to do with the national health crisis. Days have been wasted, as Americans lose their jobs and can no longer afford their mortgages, rent or groceries. Small businesses are going down and large companies are suffering the effects of the economic shut down. But, Pelosi and Schumer fight for funding for the Kennedy Center and Big Bird. Money that the American people could use next month to pay their bills.

Steve Forbes, says
“Tens of thousands of businesses face ruin, that's why they need relief right away. Democrats are putting in more bureaucratic procedures, so called oversight, that will delay money going out by several days. This should have been done a week ago. And every day that is delayed, House voting on this tomorrow great, but if they had done it a week ago a lot of these businesses would have seen signs they could stay in business. . . We have a lot of innocent businesses that need help now."
While Nancy Pelosi takes a bow after holding the Senate hostage for days, pushing through her agenda and wasting our tax dollars on everything but the virus, 3.3 million people lost their jobs. Even with these numbers and the desperation of the American people, Nancy still refuses to do the math and fights to push forward election law changes, funding for planned parenthood, money for sanctuary cities, funding for the Green New Deal, and abortions. Money we have no business spending when we all recognize the need to save this money for next month’s necessary items…. mortgages, rent and food. What will we do next week when another 3 million Americans lose their jobs? The taxpayers will be forced to go further in debt while Congress, yet again, uses the crisis to push funding for more useless things. When will Congress learn to do the math? When will the House put the American people first and recognize we may need more money to pay the mortgage next month, so quit spending and budget for the future.
