Why Elon Musk might pass on buying twitter

Why Elon Musk might pass on buying twitter Twitter is a trojan horse with not near as many soldiers inside as it purports to have. Don’t be shocked if Elon Musk decides not to buy it. Full disclosure: A few years ago, I signed up to tweet. But when I refused to provide my phone number – I already get at least six spam calls a day – the big bird ditched me. I shed no tears. But when Elon Musk got in the queue to buy twitter, I signed up, provided the necessary information, and used the name my parents gave me.
And, for a month, I spent several hours a day, tweeting and responding to other birds. When Elon called a pause to his purchase, we learned why. The site is like a zoo where some of the animals are real, but many others are cardboard images of animals put up to fool visitors to the zoo. Here’s what I found: 1. The overwhelming majority of tweeters are like carnival hawkers selling a liberal progressive political ideology. They far outnumber tweets from the GOP and individual Republican pols (e.g., Ted Cruz, Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordon). It’s reasonable to expect that any elected politician’s tweets are written by staff members. So, they reveal little. 2. Many of the Left’s tweeters use a moniker that conceals their true identity. One individual mockingbird might tweet several different songs, all to advance a leftist agenda. Some are attributed to organizations that sound legit, but don’t exist except in a single mind. Others hide behind bogus names. 3. The twitter censors are not even-handed. For example, one bird tweets as a female with a two-letter name. Let says it’s “Su”. Su’s emoji is of a young woman. But Su could just as easily be a middle-aged, say Russian, man. Su deploys profanity in every one of his/her/their (that covers the gender bases) tweets. I responded to Su with a suggestion if he/she/they deleted profanity, their tweets might be taken more seriously. Immediately, before I could hit send, the King Bird chided me to not mention, even using partial language – like F__ for Frog – any reference to the Frog word. Twitter edits selectively.

4. Disaffected Republicans and some noteworthy former GOP pundits, Trump haters all, are frequent tweeters. When Musk revealed that he’d been a Democrat voter but was going to vote Republican in the future, the bird bath turned into an angry pool party. Vitriolic hatred spewed from their bills. You’ve seen a small flock gang up on larger predator bird. Musk is now attacked by many small birds en masse. The less he cares, the madder they chirp. 5. Many posts come directly from large liberal “news” outlets. For example: WaPo, NYT, The Hill. FOX News also tweets frequently. The vitriol against FOX is continuous. For some, it’s an endless pattern. Hate speech on parade. I suspect Musk sees all this and begins to question the actual legitimacy of a cite that is a trojan house wherein there are a few real troops, but many that are imaginary, made of straw, or crafted from cosmic vapors. In short, frauds. Like the mystery voters that elected Brandon. Musk didn’t get rich making bad business decisions and he may be wondering now if buying twitter is a good or bad business decision. (He hasn’t told me one way or the other.) If he buys the site, I’ll hang around. If he doesn’t, I’ll stop wasting time flaying at windmills that don’t grind anything of value. Elon Musk will do the right thing. Twitter is about playing checkers. Elon is very capable of turning it into a chess game for the good of America.
