Resurgence of anti-Semitic vandalism across this country

Why the silence on the new anti-semitism?

After the Holocaust which saw the systematic annihilation of six million Jews by Hitler's Nazi's the UN General Assembly unreservedly condemned all manifestations of religious and ethnic intolerance with a resolution that would remind future generations of this horror to prevent such events ever happening again. This turning point in history prompted the world to say "never again."
Canada is well known around the world as one of the most tolerant nations on the planet yet Michael Mostyn, chief executive officer of B’nai Brith Canada, recently warned of a resurgence of anti-Semitic vandalism across this country. Hate mail featuring anti-Semitic imagery was received in at least five synagogues across Canada as recently as 2017 prompting PM Trudeau to respond with a clear statement that such hate has "no place" in Canada yet such incidents are not on the decline. Incidents like what happened at Concordia University in 2002 when current Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu was prohibited from giving a scheduled speech are not uncommon in Canada these days. Nor has our history been exempt from such incidents of bigotry and hatred towards Jews. We had outbreaks of violence and damage to Jewish property in the Christie Pits riots in 1933. In 1948 well-known author Pierre Berton wrote an article for Maclean's magazine which clearly revealed prejudice against Jews in hiring practices in Canada. Between 1930 and 1939 Canada rejected almost all Jewish refugees from Nazi Europe. According to B’nai Brith Canada, 2014 saw the greatest number of antisemitic incidents ever recorded in this country with 1627 incidents, a 28% increase from 2013. The rise of antisemitism in Canada coincides with a global surge and sadly we are seeing a comeback of the swastika in France and Europe that is truly alarming. Why is this happening and why is the mainstream media mostly silent about it and the unprecedented persecution of Christians worldwide? By ignoring the biblical perspective we opt for silence or humanistic explanations which are totally inadequate. Unless you have God's viewpoint on it there simply are no explanations but one thing is certain. Nothing can change the everlasting covenant He has made with His ancient people.
