Why Weren't We Car (Or Horsedrawn Buggy) jacking and Mass Shooting Tormentors During Slavery and Jim Crow?

Note: This commentary evolved out of a comment thread earlier today in X, formerly Twitter, regarding a local mass shooting victim's claim that slavery was predicate for crime she and others experienced.

I ask folks who say slavery and Jim Crow causes today's weaponized youth and street piracy, why weren't captives and second class citizens carjacking (or, not being flippant, horsedrawn buggy) jacking, armed robbing and mass shooting their tormentors during times when legitimate, though hotly contested, arguments could be made to support such tactics?

What we see today is largely a product of racism, but not from times of our captivity and second class citizenry.Weaponized youth are the latest mutation of what Reagan era narcotics traffickers let loose in my community to topple older men as role models and enthrone young drug dealers.

Not to be outdone, liberals scrambled to come up with enabling theories as basis for public insecurity policies and (un)popular culture which made their mayhem "authentic" and on perverse par with moderate and "militant" responses to injustice the Left must co-opt or crush.

At the root of weaponized youth is an unholy union of today's mostly White Trotskyites with violent traitors to safety in my Community.

They added to damage inflicted by slavery and Jim Crow and worse, subtracted life support norms which allowed us to survive both existential threats.

That's why I ask this question of those invoking convoluted history as an explanation for clearcut contemporary criminality.
