Just finished reading Dick Morris’ article “The Death of Israel” dated May 24, 2009 and I am happy someone is saying what I am thinking, and also, now writing.
Just about every action Obama takes lately makes me more convinced that he is trying to help kill off all non-Muslim countries and peoples. Of course I can’t verify that all Dick Morris writes is absolute and definite verifiable truth, but he presents arguments that are hard to counter.
I think the whole world knows that Iran’s madman dictator, Ahmadinejad, has said on occasion to anyone in the universe that he intends to wipe Israel off the face of the earth when his nuclear capability was in hand. Naturally, at first it was taken with a grain of salt and a slight smirk because the Iranian nuclear capability was nowhere within sight and comments were heard that sanctions and/or other penalties would stop him in his tracks.
Well by now, you and I and the rest of the world also know, that UN threats of sanctions are about as forceful as Obama’s campaign promises are believable. And as the months and years pass in review, supposed sanctions and other penalties are about as existent as a truthful campaign promise.
Morris got what he calls alarming news from Caroline Glick, deputy editor and op-ed writer for the Jerusalem Post an Israeli daily English-language broadsheet newspaper, who he cites is well-connected with sources deep in Netanyahu’s government. Glick reports that Obama’s CIA chief, Leon Panetta on a very recent trip to Israel gave the new government a strong warning against attacking Iran.
Creating a dangerous atmosphere of intrigue, Ms. Glick also reported (likely from her Israeli connections) Obama has already accepted that Iran will soon have nuclear weapons.
Now this is where my skin grows cold and clammy over Obama’s hidden intentions. To me, the only plausible reason why he would be doing nothing to prevent Iran from striking Israel while concurrently taking strong advisory positions with Israel to do nothing in return for its own self protection, is that he wants it that way. He wants Israel wiped off the face of the earth!
He once said that in times of desperation he would stand with the Islamists; why should we disbelieve that now? He does nothing to give hope that he would actually stand with the Israelis in this threat of confrontation and annihilation. Has anyone heard him deny his prior words of standing with the Islamists? And what is even more strange is the fact that he expects Israel to do nothing and just get blown away.
Now here is where Ms. Glick puts forth the supposition that "as far as the [Obama] administration is concerned, if Israel could just leave Iran's nuclear installations alone, Iran would behave itself." And she also notes that American officials, meaning obviously the Obama Administration, would consider “any harm to American interests that flowed from an Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear facilities as Israel's doing, not Iran's.”
So what she is saying, and quite properly I would guess, is that Israel is damned if it does and damned if it doesn’t.” Nice place you put Israel in Mr. President, right smack between a rock and hard place. Did you ever think of just once standing with “right and decency” instead of with the Islamists attitude of kill at any cost?
Ever since all this Obama subterfuge began with empty threats to Iran when most of the non-Islamic world knew that they were ruses to evade a consequence of actually doing anything, Israel has been preparing for the inevitable, - a quick pre-empt strike to disable the nuclear capability.
But the Obama Administration has brow beaten the Israelis to just wait “a little bit longer” which now we know was to allow Iran more time to develop their nuclear device. If you recall it is just how this country has dealt with North Korea and their nuclear threats.
I have said it before and I’ll say it again: “Why can’t we find another Ronnie Reagan to step up like a real man and act like a leader instead of a deceiver?
Well, Ms. Glick, the Obama Administration might consider any harm to American interests due to an Israeli attack to Iran’s nuclear plants to save their entire country and possibly many other areas lives as Israel’s doing, but the honest and fair-minded people of the world will KNOW who will be responsible.
And Dick Morris is absolutely correct in excoriating American Jews who continually support the fiendish and devious liberal Democrats and their fallacious Executive Branch accomplices in the death of Israel, should it happen. Every Jew in our Senate and just about all of them in the House of Representatives are totally in support of Obama and his ilk to the detriment of Israel; and ultimately, ourselves.
Gerald A. “Jerry” McConnell, 92, of Hampton, died Sunday, February 19, 2017, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, Mass., surrounded by his loved ones. He was born May 27, 1924 in Altoona, Pa., the fifth son of the late John E. and Grace (Fletcher) McConnell.
Jerry served ten years with the US Marine Corps and participated in the landing against Japanese Army on Guadalcanal and another ten years with the US Air Force. After moving to Hampton in 1957 he started his community activities serving in many capacities.
He shared 72 years of marriage with his wife Betty P. (Hamilton) McConnell. In addition to his wife, family members include nieces and nephews.
