Will the Pope Act to Save Italy?

The turnout at Rome's Family Day 2016 to protest the proposed legalization of gay unions in Italy was impressive. Nearly 2,000,000 people showed up at the enormous Circus Maximus arena on January 30 to parade against the "Cirinna Bill" now awaiting vote in the Italian Parliament. Many came from different parts of the country to be there, in a similar way people travel from different parts of the U.S. each year to participate in the annual Pro-Life March in Washington D.C.
Pro-family advocates were hopeful that the pope might at least offer a few words of encouragement to spur the anti-gay rally in its fight to spare Italy this ignominy, but not a word was heard from him, in the same way he was silent following the passing of gay-marriage in Ireland last May and also during his visit to the U.S. which came on the heels of the historic Supreme Court decision to impose gay-marriage on all 50 states. The pope had push-button power to do much good, yet it wasn't used. As the clock ticks toward Italy's destruction we pray that Pope Francis will speak up and censure this heinous bill before the people, for to omit this will be seen as an endorsement. As they say, silence is more eloquent than speech. It does no good to simply tell a reporter that 'traditional marriage is God's plan for happy families.' The pope and bishops need to stand up and warn the people that anyone who supports this gay-rights legislation will separate themselves from the Church and will be complicit in surrendering their country to the Satanic forces that now seek to enslave Italy and all of Europe. Providence has it that Italy remains the only country of western Europe that doesn't offer legal protection to gay couples, being the seat of Christianity. The enemy knows all too well the strategic role that Italy plays in influencing the world for good, so if the sodomites can succeed in bringing Italy down to the mores of sinful degradation because of Rome's failure to speak up and witness for the Faith, the Church likewise is marred with spiritual darkness and is rendered ineffective in doing good for the world, fulfilling the words of Our Lady at La Salette: "The Church will be in eclipse, the world will be in dismay." Many past mystics have prophesied concerning the revolution to Rome in the last times that would set in motion an outbreak of revolution and war throughout the world, culminating eventually with WW III and the annihilation of millions. Italy is at a historic crossroads where it will be necessary for its religious and political leaders to steer this country in the right direction, or deviate its course unto the derailing of Christian Europe. The clock is ticking, the fuse is burning. The fuse is the infamous gay-rights bill now pending in Italy's Parliament. Will Pope Francis do his part to extinguish this fuse by bringing the dew of heavenly truth upon this fire, or will he let Italy burn in the embers? The pope is in a position to do much good right now. Reports have it that even some of the civil leaders in the government are nervous about passing this bill; it's not all so go as some think. A good word from the pope and bishops could do much good to steer Italy in a better direction and bring needed graces upon the people. Why deprive the people? Italy is in dire need of good direction right now, so our prayer is that Francis will use his position to promote "peace and justice" by delivering Italy from this curse. Should the pope and bishops remain silent with the excuse that clergy are not suppose to engage in politics, then what Holy Scripture says about clerical negligence will happen to them: "Because being ministers of his kingdom, you have not judged rightly, nor kept the law of justice, nor walked according to the will of God. Horribly and speedily will He appear to you: for a most severe judgment shall be for them that bear rule." (Wisdom 6:5,6)
