No Good Deed Goes Unpunished Part 3

“No good deed goes unpunished.” ~ Ancient idiom

"First, what does truth require? It requires us to face the facts as they are, not to involve ourselves in self-deception; to refuse to think merely in slogans. If we are to work for the future of the city, let us deal with the realities as they actually are, not as they might have been, and not as we wish they were." ~ John F. Kennedy

This is the third in my series to review and better understand why America and Canada find ourselves where we are in 2026. Fair warning, my direct approach at times may seem to be harsh, but I am confident CFP/AFP readers can handle the harsh truth as I see it. As mentioned earlier in this series, western civilization is rooted in Christianity and Judeo-Christian values as practiced throughout history in Western Europe and the Americas.

Although Islam has been present in Western Europe for centuries, the rise of radical Islamists, such as Al-Qaeda, Hamas, and other extreme Islamists has expanded to open war on modern western civilization. The precipitating event was the Iranian Theocracy’s declaration of war against the United States in 1979 with the taking of the American Embassy in Tehran and imprisoning embassy employees for 444 days.

Christendom has potential suicidal flaws. The first is that we take people at face value based on our Christian values. The second flaw is that since World War II, we are universally kind and welcoming to people who appear to be under political or cultural distress. In the early 2000s, there was considerable turmoil throughout much of the Middle East. During those times, tens of thousands of Muslims fled to Western Europe seeking “political asylum.” There was one odd aspect of this “migration” and that was that the asylum seekers were predominately young military-age men with very few women and families. Many of the Christian European nations did the “good deed” and welcomed the asylum seekers with open arms as Christians are wont to do.

It then took these European nations a few years to realize the something was seriously amiss because the Islamist immigrants were not making any effort to assimilate into the host nation’s culture and society. In fact, it was realized that the Islamists were establishing enclaves where the laws of the host nation were supplanted by Sharia Law and national law enforcement agencies were no longer allowed. It seems the asylum seekers are, in fact, an invasion force seeking to destroy the welcoming society and culture of the host country.

No good deed goes unpunished, and Britain, France, and Germany, in particular, are certainly now being punished for their kindness. They are learning the lessons, in graphic detail, that Islam is not compatible with western civilization. Their native citizens are being attacked by lawless Islamists, that is lawless by European national standards. However, by Sharia Law standards, Muslims are permitted to take vile actions (by western standards) against any non-Muslim. In other words, Islamists are using any means to an end, and that end is the conversion or death of all non-Muslims.

"Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. Not to speak is to speak, and not to act is to act. God will not hold us guiltless." ~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer

It seems that socialist wokeism has paralyzed some of these European governments that are doing little or nothing to combat the Islamic invasion and attacks on their citizens. Their inaction is to their national peril. You are not Islamophobic if Islamists are trying to kill you and/or destroy your culture.

In the last half century, Christianity has declined in Western Europe. If western civilization and Christians don’t step up, they may very well find themselves living under a 7th century brutal culture that doesn’t hesitate to kill thousands of their own citizens. That is the ultimate punishment for having done a good deed.

Will these countries in Europe save themselves? Only time will tell.
