Woman’s hand severed during altercation in Long County

LONG COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — A woman’s hand was severed following an altercation Sunday night at a home on Meadow Road.

Deputies from the Long County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the residence in regard to an assault shortly after 7:30 p.m.

Upon arrival deputies found a woman who had been attacked with a sword. The woman according to a press release was suffering from several major injuries to include a severed hand, a large cut in her upper arm and a deep wound to the back of her head. ---More...
