Worship or Entertainment

America depends on you making the right choice. Without God, America will fail.

It is not my intent to denigrate anyone’s choice of worship. However, a hard discussion needs to take place concerning how Christians worship in America today.

Until about 1900, the most common textbook in public schools was the Christian Bible. For most of the first hundred years of America’s existence, the vast majority of Americans were on the same page as a society and culture. The primary guiding principles in the United States were the Ten Commandments and the United States Constitution.

In the first half of the 20th century, the corruption of the American education system began, and in the last half of the 20th century, the corruption of the legacy Christian churches began. Americans must be aware that the socialist/communist movement has been alive in the United States for about a century. For the American tragedy we saw during the Biden administration to occur, two things had to happen.

First, the American education system had to be corrupted to a point where false American history had to be taught to American students in high school and college. That has been successful and, sadly, a couple of generations don’t know traditional American history. So, step one was indoctrination instead of education.

The second thing that needed to happen was the corruption of Judeo-Christian values as taught in the Christian Bible. This has required a two-pronged attack. First, in the 1960s there began an explosion of non-denominational Christian-based churches. The good news is that they are based on Christianity. The bad news is that many of these churches are more entertainment- focused than they are about preaching the Word as presented in the Bible. The second prong of the two-pronged attack is dilution of the Biblical Word as many of the legacy Christian denominations have done. By this I mean that many legacy churches are on a slippery slope by accepting and even celebrating marriage of homosexual relationships, where God and Jesus viewed homosexuality as an abomination.

That is making “man’s word” more important than “God’s Word.” That being the case, where does it stop? Some “Christian secularists” are talking about a new version of the Bible and essentially removing the basic sideboards of Christianity.

Going to a church that preaches the true Word as taught in the Bible can be uncomfortable. It may not be easy hearing things you need to hear rather than things you want to hear. It is easy to go to church to be entertained, or attend a church that no longer abides strictly by the Bible. But is that what you really need? As a Christian, we must accept the fact that we are imperfect human beings and have been since the time of Adam and Eve.

The Bible and attending a church that adheres to the strict teachings of the Bible will help us understand ourselves and guide us to the right path as God wants. However, we must hear things that will make us uncomfortable if we are to make necessary course corrections to live the Christian life we know we should live. Most entertainment churches are weak in teaching the hard stuff and other churches that have strayed from the strict teachings of the Bible have simply gone off the rails, which pleases Satan greatly.

Are you getting the uncomfortable information you need to hear?

Are you being entertained with the information you want to hear?

Are you being led astray by man’s word instead of God’s Word?

America depends on you making the right choice. Without God, America will fail.
