Obama and the silence from those on the left over our involvement in Libya and the double standard on issues that are raging in this country

Your Absence Is Revealing

Though it has been expected, it is no less revealing that the silence from those on the left over our involvement in Libya and the double standard on issues that are raging in this country. While it may be true that a few on the left are now starting to voice their opposition to President Obama's decision to use military force in Libya, we have yet to hear the same rhetoric that prevailed when President Bush decided to take action in Afghanistan and Iraq. President Bush was accused of entering into an illegal war even though he went to Congress to gain approval by vote to not only authorize force , but to fund the military involvement. President Obama on the other hand has done neither of these steps and yet the absence of the left addressing this is more proof of the double standard that we are exposed to in this country.

President Bush was castigated to no end from politicians and the main stream media to the teacher talking to their students. An aura of perceived evil was developed about him and those in his administration by the left in this country. We have a generation of "youth" that were subjugated to this continual image and have today been so molded by their handlers in our education system and media that they have been shaped into believing that what they are being asked of today by those currently in power is justifiable. We have President Obama calling for the "youth" to rise up in not only this country, but also all across the Middle East. Has anyone explained to the "youth" in this country that by doing so they are asking to be led by forces that they have yet to fully understand? Have these "youth" been taught the proper history of the ideology that many are now in the streets calling for? Have these "youth" that President Obama called for to rise up overseas fully examined the dangerous path that they are being asked to embark upon? The absence of groups such as Code Pink protesting outside of the White House over the Military action in Libya should highlight that a double standard is taking place. The silence of Senator Durbin from Illinois not accusing our troops of being Nazi's this time around should wake up any thinking person that the blatant absurdity that was on display when Bush was in office. The absence of the anti- war crowd hanging effigies of the president and calls for his impeachment is incredibly revealing, but as long as the President that was awarded the Noble Peace prize on the assumption that he would right the wrongs of the world is in office all will be ok in the end. Or will it? To what end will being subservient to the demands of the United Nations play in the future of our Republic? In Libya we are being told that America will play a secondary role, but as we have seen once again it is being shown that we are leading the way. In issues regarding our basic rights here at home this administration is looking to the corrupt world body to usher in "Change" or "Transformation" from our right to own fire arms to the way that our children are taught. We are witnessing an agitated movement in our right to be able to decide be a member of a labor union or not to be forced to join one as a requirement of employment. We have started to see the emergence of Marxist and Revolutionary's calling for the downfall of our way of life, even though no one has explained to these "youth" and "protesters" what actually fills the void if we embrace what they are calling for. The transformation and change that this president and his allies are calling for were never defined when he was running for office, but as time has revealed it is aimed straight at the heart of the fabric that make this country what it has been for over 200 years. The absence of actual truth is so revealing that many will choose to look the other way because they just do not want to accept what is staring them in the face. When we look at how this president was actually cheerleading when it came to regime change in Egypt, and how even in Libya was sitting back on his heals until the pressure from the one body that he cannot abandon finally forced him into action, the revealing absence of leadership was exposed. The question remains though with the exposure of this absence why is it that more people cannot clean the sleep from their eyes and actually understand that we have a President in office that is just not up to the job. The calls for "Hope" have faded, but the work of "Change" is being accelerated. The change and fundamental transformation is the most alarming point that has to be highlighted time and again. The Nero effect that we see exhibited by this president could very well lead to the downfall of our Republic. The shameful double standard in our media and by those on the left have allowed the youth and a good majority of our adult population to be strung along on a leash like a puppy dog that is not responsible enough to be on its own. Just as history has shown time and again the ideology that this president and his willing allies in the labor movement and those calling for a fundamental change failed, we cannot expect any different if allowed to prevail today. When we look at the reasons that President Obama used to justify his call for the removal of the dictator in Egypt and the removal of this dictator in Libya, we should recognize that in the case of Egypt he supported it because of the protests in the streets and the fact that the population did not support the current leadership. This same thing occurred here in the United States for the last two years but was completely ignored. Should President Obama be asked to step down as well? In Libya he was perfectly willing to stand aside and make demands that the dictator stepped aside, it was not until those that were being oppressed and killed that the world body decided to intervene. It was not until the fact that he could no longer dither and was forced to commit that he finally came to the aid of those he agitated, but what do you expect from a community agitator? The absence is revealing and should be understood by those on the left that you may think the cause is just, you may think that the leaders of your movement is leading you on a journey that will create "equality" but you should also be aware that the journey they want you to take may in the end come back around to harm you more than you could ever expect. We do not expect any different coming out of the double standards that we see on display today, it has become the new norm. But for one moment in time it would be nice for you to recognize the willing dupes you were over the years that President Bush was in office with the way that your absence today reveals.
