Your weekend assignment: Here's the preview for Trump's turn as SNL host

Depending on your age, you think Saturday Night Live was never funny, or that it stopped being funny after Chevy Chase left, after Belushi left, after Eddie Murphy left, after Billy Crystal left, after Mike Meyers left, after Adam Sandler left or after Will Ferrell left. One thing's for sure, though, you don't think it's currently funny and you tell everyone who'll listen that it's best days are behind it.

You can test that theory this weekend as SNL welcomes Donald Trump as its controversial host. Here are the previews....(Scroll down for video) Originally, the spots included Trump joking that “Ben Carson is a complete and total loser!” but apparently the gag made NBC uncomfortable when combined with the fallout from their embarrassing CNBC debate. They've since pulled the joke from the montage. For the record, SNL is about as funny as its always been. That is to say, with the exception of one or two high water mark seasons, the show has always landed its jokes about 20% of the time. Seriously. Watch that season you think is the 'funniest ever' and you'll realize just how painfully un-funny most of it was. Tomorrow's broadcast should be interesting, since the PAC that created the "swearing anchor babies" clip has offered a $5,000 bounty to audience members who disrupt the performance by screaming "racist." Will anyone collect? Will the person who collects be an NBC employee? Tune in to find out!
