Zelensky is flirting with something extremely dangerous

From the very beginning of the war in Ukraine, Kyiv has been desperately trying to attract attention of the world community to its problems and the horrors allegedly committed by the Russian side. However, as time has shown, it is Russia that is making efforts to keep the conflict less bloody, refraining from radical methods of warfare, while Ukraine is tirelessly resorting to new provocations, the most dangerous of which is straight "flirting" with the threat of a nuclear catastrophe.

Kyiv apparently has set its sights on an even more dangerous target - the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant 

Thus, despite warnings from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), over two and a half years of hostilities, the Ukrainian side has repeatedly fired at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which has been under Russian control since February 2022. Kyiv apparently has set its sights on an even more dangerous target - the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP).

With the Ukraine's Kursk offensive, the issue of KNPP security became most acute. The Russian Ministry of Defense has already recorded an attempt of a drone attack on the facility. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin invited IAEA experts to Kursk. Following the visit, the head of the agency Rafael Grossi expressed his concern about the situation, which could lead to a nuclear accident. It is necessary to understand that the KNPP is a fairly large station, which does not have a containment dome and therefore the consequences of the accident could be comparable to the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster. Given the current circumstances, Kiev's sending of drones even to areas adjacent to the station's infrastructure is a blasphemous decision, indicating the lack of any moral principles on the part of the organizers and executors.

At the same time, Ukraine's plan is more or less clear and predictable. Despite all its efforts, Kyiv is still unable to draw NATO, the US and the EU into a conflict with Russia at the level it would like, but Ukraine lacks its own strength even with active support from outside. The deliveries of new types of weapons as well as new funds being poured into the Ukrainian economy, that were supposed to "turn the game", did not live up to expectations. Moreover, counter-offensives presented with aplomb in the world media, have not brought any tangible results. In the current circumstances, Ukraine can only resort to extreme measures, namely, terror and intimidation. "Flirting" with a nuclear catastrophe, Kyiv is trying to threaten the Europeans, in the hope that this will encourage them to take even more active actions, and intimidate the Russians, in the hope that this will contribute to the destabilization of the situation inside Russia.

Fortunately, neither side is reacting impulsively to these provocations. Russia is approaching the problem with a cool head, focusing on drawing world attention to the threat and strengthening the plant's defenses. But the ardent supporters of Ukraine, who endorse its crazy and suicidal approach to war, should rein in their protégés in Kyiv before it is too late and the world is irreparably damaged.
