Fed Bails Out Rich Arabs in Citigroup Deal

For several days there was a fierce national debate over whether American car companies in Detroit deserved $25 billion of taxpayer money and whether American jobs should be saved. The automakers and a union representative were ridiculed, didn’t get the money, and were told to come up with a “plan” to save the companies. After backing the $700-billion Wall Street bailout, Bill O’Reilly of Fox News said Detroit didn’t deserve any federal money because the car companies had been mismanaged. This was a point made by many in the media.

Wall Street and the Rise of Obama

Joe Biden made headlines by talking about a “generated crisis” for President Obama. But is the current financial meltdown another “generated crisis?” Why did this crisis suddenly occur only six weeks before the election? Is it just a coincidence that it occurred at a time when John McCain was leading in the national public opinion polls and appeared to be on his way to a November 4 election victory?

Republicans Invite Bad Press Coverage

The Washington Times has a front-page story about House Republican Eric Cantor, who charges that “the Republican Party in Washington is no longer ‘relevant’ to voters and must stop simply espousing principles…” The story seems designed to help Cantor capture the number two position in the House Republican leadership. But deep inside the article we learn that Cantor “ended up voting for the Democrats’ [Wall Street bailout] bill.”

Global Socialists Toast Victory over America

The American people may be losing their jobs and savings, but on Friday night, on the eve of the international financial summit, they provided President Bush and other G20 leaders a lavish banquet that included $300-a-bottle wine, Vermont Brie, eggplant fondue, and rack of lamb. Details of the “culinary delights” and “sumptuous feast” provided to the politicians who departed their black limousines were included in wire service stories. They were toasting the demise of America as a global economic and military superpower and planning to loot another trillion dollars from U.S. taxpayers.

Media Should Demand Paulson’s Head

Media cheerleading for the $700-billion Wall Street bailout―labeled by House Republican Leader John Boehner a “mud sandwich”―may have come to an end. It was big news on the three network newscasts on Wednesday night that Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson basically admitted that the plan hasn’t worked, and that he has changed his mind about what is required to save the U.S. financial system.

Obama to Inherit “New Global Order” from Bush

The bankruptcy of Iceland, now receiving a $2.1 billion two-year loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) “to support an economic recovery program,” has been depicted as something that could never happen to America. Is the U.S. too big to fail? Or is the U.S. going through the same process, albeit on a slower basis?

Fed Covers Up Financial Crisis

Our “adversary” media have been extremely deferential toward those promoting the looting of the American taxpayers during the ongoing economic and financial crisis. However, Bloomberg News should be congratulated for filing suit against the Federal Reserve in an effort to disclose the securities the central bank is accepting on behalf of American taxpayers as collateral for $1.5 trillion of loans to banks such as Goldman Sachs.

The Financial “Rescue” that Bankrupted America

It is the story of our lifetimes: a financial crisis is underway and getting worse. As the recession deepens, our jobs and savings are threatened, and our children and grandchildren will probably live in a country with lower living standards and fewer opportunities than what we have enjoyed. America may be reduced to the status of a second- or third-rate economic power, dependent on international agencies like the International Monetary Fund and Arab governments for investment dollars and foreign aid handouts.

The Bankruptcy of the Nation and Conservatism

A lot will be said and written about the presidential election, but one central fact remains: John McCain was ahead in the polls until the financial crisis emerged and President Bush was pushed by Treasury Secretary Paulson into seeking a $700-billion Wall Street bailout on September 18. The crisis benefited Obama, even though he voted for the bailout, because he was not a Republican, like McCain or Bush. Republicans were blamed because a Republican was in the White House.

FBI Informant Implicates Obama Associate in Murder

Larry Grathwohl, a former FBI informant in the Weather Underground, tells Accuracy in Media that he was contacted by law enforcement authorities about five or six years ago about bringing a murder case against Weather Underground communist terrorist Bernardine Dohrn for her reported involvement in the 1970 death of a young San Francisco police officer, Brian V. McDonnell.

Who’s Behind the Economic Collapse?

Joe Biden made headlines by talking about a “generated crisis” for a President Obama. But is the current financial meltdown another “generated crisis?” Considering the problems in the economy, including too much federal debt, too much spending and easy credit, which have been with us for years, why did this crisis suddenly occur only six weeks before the election?

Al-Jazeera for Obama

Colin Powell’s predicted and expected endorsement of Barack Obama was transformed into big news by the pro-Obama media. But Arab propaganda channel Al-Jazeera’s intervention in the U.S. presidential contest is also extremely significant. Al-Jazeera, a mouthpiece for enemies of the United States, aired a Moammar Gadhafi speech praising Obama and followed with a story depicting supporters of Sarah Palin as white racist Christians. The channel is subsidized by the oil-rich Sunni Muslim plutocracy/dictatorship in Qatar

Socialism Comes to America

But many conservatives understood that, by capitulating to the political Left, McCain and the Republican Party were ceding unnecessary ground to Barack Obama and his “progressive” Democrats.

Was a Communist Obama’s Sex Teacher?

Senator John McCain won’t talk about Barack Obama’s racist Reverend Jeremiah Wright, an adviser to Obama for 20 years. This may be a factor in McCain losing the election. But the McCain campaign has done a few ads about Obama associate Bill Ayers. These ads, as well as the media coverage of the “radical” Ayers, fail to tell the human story of the carnage and suffering that Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, inflicted on innocent people.

Why Doesn’t McCain Fight Back?

The headline over Harold Ford Jr.’s Washington Post column was, “Will McCain Do Anything to Win?” The former Democratic congressman, who lost a bitter race for senator in Tennessee, insisted that McCain was attacking Obama “in harsh, personal terms” and smearing him. But this is patently absurd. Indeed, on page 8 of the same edition of the Post was a story headlined, “McCain Mum on former Pastor,” on how the Republican presidential candidate has avoided mentioning Obama’s spiritual adviser for 20 years―the racist anti-American preacher Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who believes Soviet disinformation that the U.S. Government manufactured the AIDS virus to kill black people.

McCain Follows Obama Down Socialist Road

It is terrifying to see our financial system crumbling because of corruption on Wall Street, aided and abetted by government policies of too much federal spending, debt, and intervention in the economy. But it is also troubling to see our economic system of free enterprise slipping away as the candidates of both major political parties propose more federal intervention, spending and debt as solutions to these problems. Our media have an obligation to inform the American people that we are moving into a full-blown socialist economy.

The Rise and Fall of Fox News

The coverage of the financial crisis has been helpful in demonstrating that many of the “conservatives” in the media are not so conservative after all. When the going gets tough, they are quick to abandon their principles. Several commentators on the Fox News Channel joined Senators Barack Obama and John McCain and most congressional Democrats in supporting the socialist-style bailout scheme.

Banking Bill Bails Out China

During a time when most of the commentary and news “analysis” has been in favor of the Wall Street takeover plan, Rep. Brad Sherman of California was on Larry Kudlow’s CNBC show on September 30 to cite evidence that the legislation potentially “provides hundreds of billions of dollars of bailouts to foreign investors,” including those in Communist China.

CNBC Urges “Ways Around Congress” in Financial Crisis

Meeting in New York on the occasion of the 63rd session of the U.N. General Assembly, members of the Socialist International (SI) called for the establishment of a World Financial Organization to provide “global stability” and regulate the financial systems of the nations of the world. This will be the inevitable result of the U.S. Congress passing a socialist-style takeover of the U.S. financial sector. This centralization of power will make it easier to integrate the U.S. into a global socialist system.

Why the Media Feminists Hate Palin

Columnist Marc H. Rudov calls them the “fascist feminists.” These are the feminists in the media and elsewhere who detest Sarah Palin because of her role as a successful wife and mother and defender of the unborn. Palin’s decision to have a Down syndrome child, when 90 percent of these children are being aborted in the womb, has proven in dramatic terms not only that there are articulate pro-life women in America but that there are women who will take a leadership role on “culture of life” issues of concern to millions. And this one could be vice-president of the United States.
