McCain Follows Obama Down Socialist Road

It is terrifying to see our financial system crumbling because of corruption on Wall Street, aided and abetted by government policies of too much federal spending, debt, and intervention in the economy. But it is also troubling to see our economic system of free enterprise slipping away as the candidates of both major political parties propose more federal intervention, spending and debt as solutions to these problems. Our media have an obligation to inform the American people that we are moving into a full-blown socialist economy.

The Rise and Fall of Fox News

The coverage of the financial crisis has been helpful in demonstrating that many of the “conservatives” in the media are not so conservative after all. When the going gets tough, they are quick to abandon their principles. Several commentators on the Fox News Channel joined Senators Barack Obama and John McCain and most congressional Democrats in supporting the socialist-style bailout scheme.

Banking Bill Bails Out China

During a time when most of the commentary and news “analysis” has been in favor of the Wall Street takeover plan, Rep. Brad Sherman of California was on Larry Kudlow’s CNBC show on September 30 to cite evidence that the legislation potentially “provides hundreds of billions of dollars of bailouts to foreign investors,” including those in Communist China.

CNBC Urges “Ways Around Congress” in Financial Crisis

Meeting in New York on the occasion of the 63rd session of the U.N. General Assembly, members of the Socialist International (SI) called for the establishment of a World Financial Organization to provide “global stability” and regulate the financial systems of the nations of the world. This will be the inevitable result of the U.S. Congress passing a socialist-style takeover of the U.S. financial sector. This centralization of power will make it easier to integrate the U.S. into a global socialist system.

Why the Media Feminists Hate Palin

Columnist Marc H. Rudov calls them the “fascist feminists.” These are the feminists in the media and elsewhere who detest Sarah Palin because of her role as a successful wife and mother and defender of the unborn. Palin’s decision to have a Down syndrome child, when 90 percent of these children are being aborted in the womb, has proven in dramatic terms not only that there are articulate pro-life women in America but that there are women who will take a leadership role on “culture of life” issues of concern to millions. And this one could be vice-president of the United States.

Socialist “Bailout” Could Spark Collapse

While many of the talking heads and pundits on TV have been providing calming words of reassurance about proposed federal intervention in the financial system, analyst Peter Schiff of Euro Pacific Capital has been accurately warning for years about a financial meltdown and says that the worst, if Congress eventually passes the “bailout” bill, is yet to come.

$920 Billion More to Bail Out the World

With one socialist “bailout” bill apparently on the way to passage by Congress, two more are pending―both of them sponsored by Senator Barack Obama. One is the Jubilee Act, which would cancel as much as $75 billion worth of Third World debt, and the other is the Global Poverty Act, which would cost an estimated $845 billion. Total potential cost: $920 billion.

Will Conservatives Embrace Socialism?

The lack of public support is significant because of the misleading coverage suggesting it is just a “rescue” or a “bailout,” rather than socialism.

Senator Bunning Blasts “Financial Socialism”

John McCain claims to be a straight talker, but it is Senator Jim Bunning, Republican of Kentucky, who on Tuesday, in front of Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Board chairman Ben Bernanke, labeled the Paulson/Bernanke $700 billion Wall Street takeover plan “financial socialism.” He also called it “un-American.”

Socialism Is Coming to America

In his classic 1932 book, Toward Soviet America, Communist Party boss William Z. Foster wrote about how “The United Soviet States of America” will come about. As a result of various capitalist crises, the national government would assume more and more control over the economy. “In finance,” he wrote, “it will mean the nationalization of the banking system and its concentration around a central State bank…” Foster is dead, but the Wall Street financial “bail-out” plan offered by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, in coordination with the Federal Reserve, will bring about a socialist America.

Lying By Media Knows No Bounds

The Washington Post gives candidates a “Pinocchio” for lying in campaign ads. But the Post, known locally as the Compost, has been telling some whoppers of its own.

McCain Sending Palin to U.N.?

John McCain may send Sarah Palin to the United Nations next week in order to “boost” her foreign policy credentials, according to media reports. The McCain campaign seems to think that having Palin rubbing elbows with the global elite and international bureaucrats will make her look good. But that’s like visiting Lehman Brothers to accentuate her economic expertise. She should tell the McCain campaign, “Thanks, but no thanks.”

Dear Fellow media watchdogs

IMPORTANT NEW DEVELOPMENTS HAVE OCCURRED SINCE I WROTE this AIM Report. I want to use this edition of my “notes” to bring you completely up to date. The London Daily Telegraph has reported allegations that Frank Marshall Davis was not only a communist but a sex pervert and pornographer, and that he smoked dope with Obama’s grandfather, Stanley Dunham, who had introduced Davis to Obama when the child was only nine years of age—in 1970. We know that Dunham and Davis were drinking buddies and that Obama admits doing drugs in his youth. We also know that Obama talks in his book Dreams From My Father about sharing alcohol with Davis. Did he share drugs with him too?

Media Abet Communist Cover-Up

In a surprising admission, Barack Obama’s 40-page so-called “rebuttal” to Jerome Corsi’s book, The Obama Nation, acknowledges for the first time that the senator once had a personal relationship with identified Communist Party USA (CPUSA) member Frank Marshall Davis, a key high-level operative in a Soviet-sponsored network in Hawaii.

McCain Feeds Palin to the Wolves

The McCain campaign is running an ad saying the wolves are out to get Sarah Palin. But the campaign fed her to the wolves in the Charlie Gibson interview. The interview, at least the part on foreign policy, looked like a police interrogation. The only thing missing was a rubber hose.

The Media Plan to Destroy Palin

I was on C-SPAN on Saturday talking about media coverage of the campaign. They double-teamed me, with “progressive” Faiz Shakir and former NBC News journalist Marvin Kalb arguing that Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin should start going on shows like NBC’s “Meet the Press” to prove she’s worthy of the nomination. I said that would be a trap and politically suicidal.

Bush Gives State Secrets to Obama

Barack Obama, who has not been “vetted” by the FBI for the position of president of the United States, received his “first high level briefing” on Tuesday from the office of the Director of National Intelligence, CNN has reported. “Obama was given the briefing at the FBI field office in Chicago,” the cable channel said, from a “team of intelligence experts.” But why should Obama, with a documented history of contacts with communists and terrorists, be trusted with this information?

Who Vetted Obama?

The Washington Post reported that John McCain’s vetting process for picking Governor Sarah Palin included an FBI background check. Other reports dispute this. But when did the FBI investigate Obama? Who vetted him?
