China and India not following Biden’s War on Coal

China and India not following Biden’s War on CoalWith his approval of the dangerous and irrational Inflation Reduction Act, President Joe Biden continues to make good on his administration's promise to put the coal industry out of business within eight years. After all, at the United Nations COP26 climate conference last November in Glasgow, Scotland, Biden's climate envoy John F. Kerry declared, “By 2030 in the United States, we won't have coal. We will not have coal plants.”  But this makes no sense whatsoever. Coal provides inexpensive, reliable and domestically sourced power for America that we should continue to use far into the future.

More Protests on the Way Unless Cancel Culture Ends

More Protests on the Way Unless Cancel Culture EndsFor decades now, most mainstream media and many in government, academic institutions, corporations, and other information sources across the western world have been ignoring, “canceling” and smearing conservative points of view. This has been happening on many topics—international affairs, elections, the environment, COVID, freedom, and family values, being just a few examples.

We must reject huge financial demands at UN climate conference

We must reject huge financial demands at UN climate conferenceIn the 1996 award-winning film Jerry McGuire, pro football player Rod Tidwell had a single demand of his agent: “Show me the money!” “SHOW US THE MONEY” is precisely what thousands of bureaucrats from developing countries will demand of us at the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to be held in Glasgow, Scotland from October 31 – November 12. If developed countries want to have any chance of achieving from this conference a global commitment to sharply reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions before 2050, then we will have to accommodate the non-OECD nations’ demands for huge wads of cash.

Biden promoting environmental destruction and human rights abuses in new bills

Clean Energy Exploitations, By Ronald Stein and Todd RoyalBy now, many people are aware of the mass slaughter of wildlife caused by industrial wind turbines. They are nothing less than bird and bat-killing machines that will drive some species to extinction. Yet, like his love of solar power and electric vehicles, President Joe Biden's support of wind power is promoting some of the worst human rights abuses and environmental destruction in the world, all in the name of so-called "clean energy." In support of his Build Back Better plan and the infrastructure bill currently in Congress, Biden told a union audience in Howell, Michigan on Oct 5:

Under a Biden Administration Get Ready For Nationwide Blackouts

Under a Biden Administration Get Ready For Nationwide BlackoutsThe power disaster unfolding in California will soon occur across the country if Joe Biden gets his way. Just as the former Vice-President plans for America as a whole, the Golden State is sweeping away the forms of energy that have been reliable for decades. Power outages are now commonplace in California. Last summer, the state suffered its first rolling blackouts in nearly 20 years. Imagine if this happened in Chicago in the middle of winter.

End Subsidies to ALL Energy Sources

End Subsidies to ALL Energy SourcesAs governments struggle to recover from reduced revenue and increased costs caused by the coronavirus pandemic, they will be looking to eliminate non-essential expenditures. Energy subsidies that suck billions of dollars each year from the public purse should be a leading candidate for cancellation. According to Tim Gould, head of energy supply and investment at the International Energy Agency, the current collapse of energy prices presents a “golden opportunity” to cut subsidies. As explained in the New York Times on June 11, “Lower prices make it easier to cut [energy] subsidies without inflicting much pain on the poor, especially in oil-exporting countries with reduced revenues.”

Today’s COVID Dictators Dishonor Heroes of Past Generations

Today’s COVID Dictators Dishonor Heroes of Past GenerationsAmerica’s Democrat Party and both the Liberal and conservative parties of Canada remind us of the old South of the U.S. where plantation owners controlled the lives of all who resided there. Under the owners’ control were the slaves they owned as well as those who managed the business of products they grew. Under the rule of today’s liberals (and even Ontario’s so-called Progressive Conservatives, an oxymoron if there ever was one), our nations now look like huge plantations.

Environmentalists should hope for quick economic rebound

We are starting to see significant pollution and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions as a result of the economic slowdown caused by the world's response to the COVID-19 virus. For example, Carbon Brief reported that GHG emissions in China had dropped at least 25% in February in comparison with the same period last year.  Marshall Burke, Assistant Professor and Deputy Director, Center on Food Security and the Environment at Stanford University, tweeted on March 9 that

Time to end the UN climate fiasco

For years now, the United Nations has been using the climate change crusade as a vehicle to increase its power across the world. Starting in 1995, they began holding massive annual conferences focused on stopping the ‘planet’s temperature’ from rising. That such a temperature was merely a statistical computation that had little or no significance in the real world made no difference – ‘we must stop global warming’ became the clarion call of the yearly Conferences of the Parties (COP) to 1992 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) treaty.

Earth Hour still based mostly on Propaganda

The Earth Hour Web site tells us to "Switch off your lights for an hour on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 8:30 pm your local time." If this were just about saving energy to show our support of the 860 million people across the world who lack access to electricity, it would make sense. But it is not. While Earth Hour has expanded to encompass other environmental concerns as well, ‘stopping climate change’ is still front and center as a primary rationale for the event.

The population explosion is over

The population explosion is overFor thousands of years philosophers have wrung their hands because of fears about the supposed negative impacts of population growth on life as they knew it. In the 5th century BC Confucius argued that population increases would reduce the quality of life. In Ancient Greece both Plato and Aristotle maintained that a growing population was not sustainable for their resources. In the second century AD Christian philosopher Tertullian, worried that Carthage, with its “teeming population,” was becoming unsustainably “burdensome to the world”.

Trump right to contest prophets of environmental doom

Trump right to contest prophets of environmental doomSpeaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump called for a rejection of "predictions of the apocalypse." Completely at odds with the warning by 17-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg at the same meeting that the world "is currently on fire," Trump told the world's decision-makers  that this is a time for optimism, not pessimism.

The good news about our oil supplies

Photo: Fraser InstituteWithin days of the September attack on one of Saudi Arabia’s largest oil fields, fears of rising gasoline prices were relieved when production quickly returned to the new normal. This was largely a result of a 40% increase in U.S. oil supplies in the past three years (3.65 million barrels per day rise since the end of 2016). It was also the result of a huge shift in the sources of U.S. oil imports in recent years. The Energy Information Administration reports that:

Agriculture Secretary Restricts Alarmist Announcements

Sonny PerdueSonny Perdue was well chosen by President Donald Trump to be Agriculture Secretary. As part of Perdue's efforts to put our agricultural house in order, he has succeeded in filling the upper echelon of the agency with straight shooters. However, below the surface, the agency remains heavily influenced by misguided scientists promoting the mistake that life as we know it is being destroyed through the use of our fossil fuels.

There is NO 'CLIMATE EMERGENCY!'

There is NO 'CLIMATE EMERGENCY!'Speaking at the 13th International Conference on Climate Change held on July 25th in Washington, D.C., Dr. Roy W. Spencer of the University of Alabama in Huntsville said, "There is no climate crisis. There is no climate emergency. Even if all of the warming we've seen in any observational data set is due to increasing CO2 (carbon dioxide), which I don't believe it is, it's probably too small for any person to feel in their lifetime."

Quickly moving to a fossil fuel-free world a misguided pipe dream

Quickly moving to a fossil fuel-free world a misguided pipe dreamListening to climate change activists, one gets the impression that we could transition to a fossil fuel-free world in the near future. Besides the virtual impossibility of quickly moving away from coal, oil and natural gas, the source of 85% of global primary energy, we need to ask, do we really want to do this? That the average person finds it difficult to do a sensible cost-benefit analysis is not surprising. Practically all we hear about fossil fuels from mainstream media, government and special interest groups is their supposed cost, but not their very real and important benefits.

Radiation fraud must be exposed

Radiation fraud must be exposedMany people think that science is somehow immune to frauds and misrepresentations. Application of the "scientific method" supposedly weeds out the bad apples. Yet, just as in every other human endeavor, there are always scientists who will lie, cheat, and steal to get ahead. A few even received Nobel Prizes before they were found out. One of these deceptions has yet to be effectively unveiled. The cost to medicine, human health, and energy is huge. That is the unsupportable concept that even the smallest amount of radiation could lead to the production of cancer cells in the human body.

Republicans Must Lead on Climate Change

Republicans Must Lead on Climate ChangeThere have always been prominent Republicans prepared to support, or acquiesce to, the climate scare. It is a huge problem for President Donald Trump who understands, correctly, that concerns about dangerous man-made climate change are not based on solid science.
