McRaven is No Admiral of Mine

Aug 20, 2018 — Jim ONeill

McRaven is No Admiral of Mine,
Former CIA director John Brennan, whose security clearance you revoked on Wednesday, is one of the finest public servants I have ever known. Few Americans have done more to protect this country than John. He is a man of unparalleled integrity, whose honesty and character have never been in question, except by those who don’t know him.

Therefore, I would consider it an honor if you would revoke my security clearance as well, so I can add my name to the list of men and women who have spoken up against your presidency.—William McRaven “Revoke my security clearance, too, Mr. President

It is traditional to often address former military officers, especially those of high rank, by their former grade—colonel, general, commander, admiral, etc. But I will make an exception with William McRaven, who is not worthy of his former title of admiral in my book.

Mad Max Vs. the Super Elite

Mad Max Vs. the Super Elite

Let’s face it, they’ve been stone cold losers, the elite.  So, let them keep calling themselves the elite.  But we’re going to call ourselves – and remember you work harder than they do and you are indeed smarter than them—from now on let’s call ourselves the super elite.  We are the super elite.—President Donald Trump at Fargo, ND 6/27/18

During his speech in Fargo, ND last night President Trump named Congresswoman Maxine “Mad Max” Waters the new face of the Democratic Party.  Her and Pelosi—yikes.

Time to Get Frosty

“When you’re violent and cursing and screaming and blocking me from walking into a movie, there’s something wrong.  The next people are going to come with guns. That’s what’s going to happen.”Pam Bondi, Florida Attorney General “The Left Loses Its Cool

Recently most Americans have been shocked by open calls for, not just resistance to the Trump agenda, but increasing calls for violence and even outright revolution.  ...It is going to get ugly violent.  Yes, this is sedition, and it is time to call the behavior out.  ...Freedom isn’t free, there is no resting.Bill StillIs Soros Funded Border War Coming?

Now that a United States Congresswoman has called for harassment against Republicans and the inevitable violence that will come of it, I urge all of you to a) get armed, and b) vote. Your life literally depends on it.James Woods

Sincere Liberal Ignorance and Conscientious Stupidity

Sincere Liberal Ignorance and Conscientious Stupidity
Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.MLK Jr.

Liberals are sincerely ignorant. By which I mean that they are committed to, and passionate about, their ignorance—truly they are. And they are conscientious about their stupidity—that is, they are painstakingly precise when it comes to being dim-witted.

Ignorance: Lack of knowledge or information.
Conscientious:  To do one’s work or duty well and thoroughly.

Doubling Down on Dumb

Jun 12, 2018 — Jim ONeill

Doubling Down on DumbA dedication to irrationality grows more difficult to renounce with each reiteration of unreason, for the deluded must increasingly face the shame not only of his folly but the misery it begets. As the tally grows, the likelihood of self-correction diminishes; and the committed one-worlder, now chained to his oars, must insulate himself against both reality and countervailing opinion. He does so handily by demonizing those trying to restore him to sanity.Melanie Phillips “The World Turned Upside Down: The Global Battle Over God, Truth, and Power”

“Comey’s Law”  Revisited

Jun 7, 2018 — Jim ONeill

Comey's Law Revisited,
As outlined in Comey’s speech exonerating Hillary Clinton of any wrongdoing “Comey’s Law” may be summarized as follows: “Unless one intends to break the law, then no law has in fact been broken…unless they are not, in which case they are.”

That last bit refers to the fact that if one is not a Clinton then the first part of “Comey’s Law” does not apply, and the individual in question is indeed guilty of breaking the law, whether they did it intentionally or not. (See “Exhibit A” former US Navy sailor Kristian Saucier).

The Anti-Women Democratic Party

May 9, 2018 — Jim ONeill

Gina Haspel
Is it true that Democrats are anti-women?  It certainly appears that way.  Doesn’t sound like a winning formula to me, but then TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) turns otherwise rational folks into delusional idiots.

The Democrats do not want a woman to be in charge of the CIA; they are poised to resist the selection of President Trump’s nominee Gina Haspel for that job.  She would be the first female to head the CIA and Democrats are opposed to her, even though she is eminently qualified.

Wendy Wasserman Schiff, or Whoever, and Hostile Anti-American Democrats

Wendy Wasserman Schiff, or Whoever, and Hostile Anti-American Democrats
This [Democrat involvement with the Awan family] has been going on since the early to mid-2000s, and it is shocking how terrible the Democrats are with military matters of national security. This is abhorrent on just about every conceivable level. If they slow-walk this investigation to oblivion then I believe that…if all of these people get away, if there are no negative repercussions, I genuinely believe that the mainstream acceptance of the rule of law in America will die a strange and sad death. If this goes nowhere then the republic, currently hanging by a thread, is going to fall.—Stefan Molyneux “The Truth About the Awan Family Democrat IT Scandal

Are We the People Fighting Political Ideologues, Corrupt Crooks, Meanspirited Idiots, or all the Abo

Apr 29, 2018 — Jim ONeill

Are We the People Fighting Political Ideologues, Corrupt Crooks, Meanspirited Idiots, or all the Above?
A nation can survive its fools…but it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly…[but] the traitor appears not a traitor…he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.Cicero (106 BC - 43 BC)

I used to believe that constitutional conservatives are fighting an ideological battle against political opponents—but I’m not so sure anymore. It appears increasingly obvious to me that we are in fact engaged in a battle with power-hungry, ruthless, greedy, ill-informed opportunistic morons (sometimes bright morons, but morons nonetheless)—treasonous, self-righteous, scum-sucking bottom dwellers whose pretentions to moral authority make me want to puke.

Chemical Warfare – Beyond Syria

Chemical Warfare – Beyond Syria

Gas! Gas! Quick, boys!—An ecstasy of fumbling,
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time;
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling
And flound’ring like a man in fire or lime…
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

In all my dreams, before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.

If in some smothering dreams you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil’s sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs….

—Wilfred Owen (1893-1918) “Dulce et Decorum Est”

It says something very profound about the horrors of chemical warfare that even given the inherent insanity of war the use of gas is universally considered beyond the pale.  The civilized nations of the world agree – chemical warfare is anathema, no exceptions.

In Praise of Roseanne Barr

In Praise of Roseanne Barr

I’m still the same—you all moved. You all went so f—king far out you lost everybody. A lot of us, no matter who we voted for, we don’t want to see our president fail.—Roseanne Barr on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Most everyone is by now aware that Roseanne Barr hit one out of the park with her new show’s recent debut. But much more important than any TV ratings is the fact that she brought to the table for discussion some cultural realities that have hitherto been considered too controversial, too inflammatory, for a primetime audience.

With Friends Like This Trump Doesn’t Need Enemies
Geeze Louise, to listen to Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and a host of other fair-weather friends you would think that President Trump has started eating aborted fetuses for breakfast.  Get a grip people, he signed a short-term Omnibus spending bill, he didn’t give away the keys to the kingdom.

President Trump remains in my opinion the greatest POTUS to come down the pike since the early days of the republic.  I thank God every day that Trump is president, and consider America blessed indeed to have such an intelligent, street savvy, compassionate, stalwart, and courageous patriot at our helm.

Trickle-Down Trump

Trickle-Down Trump
A friend recently sent me an article concerning a couple of British city councils that will be handing out “gender pronoun badges” in celebration of “Trans Day of Visibility,” March 31.

Council and voluntary sector staff…will be “encouraged” to wear the badges, which include messages such as “My pronouns are she/her/hers” and “My pronouns are they/their/theirs” “…Some prefer to use other gender-neutral pronouns such as ‘xe’, ‘ze’, or ‘sie’”

Can Europe Be Saved?

Mar 1, 2018 — Jim ONeill

Can Europe Be Saved? We deep-sixed the Euro-blah-blah…the empty doubletalk. We sent the muzzle back to Brussels [headquarters of the EU] and the leash to the IMF.

We understand that the organizations of George Soros are not only nestled in Brussels and Budapest, but in New York at the UN.

We understand that they spend a lot of money to force acceptance of migration on a worldwide scale. We can see that Soros is not only in conflict with us, but with the Brits, with President Trump, and with Israel, too. And the topic is everywhere the same: immigration and the acceptance of migrants.

But this will not work! We are not alone. And we will fight together to curb and stop Soros’ plan, introduced in Brussels and in the UN, and when we have enough allies—and we can have enough allies—I am sure in the end we will succeed!Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, February 18, 2018

Where is Fulton Sheen’s Sainthood?

Where is Fulton Sheen's Sainthood?

The Catholic religion inducts and celebrates its saints, and I would like to know what the holdup is regarding the late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen (1895-1979). Why is he not yet a saint?

For those who do not know, Fulton Sheen hosted an extremely popular television show in the 1950s. A number of its episodes can be watched on the internet, so those who were born long after Fulton Sheen’s passing can catch a glimpse of what the man was like.

In his first year on television, Sheen won the Emmy for Most Outstanding Television Personality, winning over media giants Lucille Ball, Arthur Godfrey, Edward R. Murrow, and Jimmy Durante.—Thomas C. Reeves “Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen: Catholic Media’s Greatest Star

President Trump and the Darkest Hour

Feb 21, 2018 — Jim ONeill

President Trump and the Darkest Hour
Never give in, never give in—never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense.  Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965) “Never Give In Speech” Harrow School, 1941

Never, ever, give up!  …Demand the best from yourself and be totally unafraid to challenge entrenched interests and failed power structures.  …Relish the opportunity to be an outsider.  Embrace that label.  Being an outsider is fine, embrace the label, because it’s the outsiders who change the world and who make a real and lasting difference.
President Donald J. Trump “Commencement Speech” Liberty University 2017

National Smack A Lib Day

National Smack A Lib Day
A Vietnam vet friend of mine, who has since passed away, once opined that what America really needs is a good old fashioned “National Smack A Lib Day.” Just to drain off some of that excess adrenaline, you know?

The Left gets to spit on, scream at, and stomp on conservatives all day, every day, all year long. They call us bigoted racists, while the “news” outlets insult We the People 24/7 by insulting President Trump—our choice for president. They wish to destroy our country via open borders, and they bar us from speaking on our college campuses.

The Sellout and Death of Rock ‘n’ Roll

Jan 26, 2018 — Jim ONeill

The Sellout and Death of Rock 'n' Roll
I know it’s only rock ‘n’ roll, but I like it, like it—yes I do!—The Rolling Stones “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll”

TRANSCENDENCE RESTORES HUMOR. Spirit restores humor. Suddenly smiling returns. Too many representatives of too many movements—even many very good movements, such as feminism, environmentalism, meditation, spiritual studies—seem to lack humor altogether. In other words, they lack lightness, they lack a distance from themselves, a distance from the ego and its grim game of forcing others to conform to its contours…. They should all trade two pounds of ego for one ounce of laughter.Ken Wilber “One Taste”

I am ancient enough to remember when rock ‘n’ roll stood for FREEDOM. Nowadays all too many rock icons hobnob with the elites and stand for the establishment status quo—political correctness, and lockstep uniformity. They are nothing more than elitist snobs dressed in rock ‘n’ roll costumes. I don’t know if they are corrupt, willfully blind, or simply stupid.

Tattletale Dicky Durbin
Tattletale, tattletale

“Probably should record future meetings - unfortunately, no trust!”—President Trump, in reference to Dicky Durbin telling tales out of school

Most folks dislike a snitch—unless you are a liberal, in which case snitching, leaking, and lying are to be expected, even applauded.
