Ryanitis: Dowd Loses Her Delicately Balanced Mind in Ryan Fearmongering

Usually I don’t write much about wholly meaningless people, but on Saturday, August 18, New York Times screedist Maureen Dowd turned in a particularly unhinged performance that just screams to be discussed. It might also scream that MoDowd’s Ryanitis is at such an advanced case of virulence that she might just need professional help to get over it.

Obama’s Constant BS About Thomas Jefferson and Islam

Every year he’s been in office, President Obama has hosted an “iftar dinner” to honor Islam in the White House. The President has also each time led his speech with the outlandish nonsense that Thomas Jefferson held the “first iftar dinner” in the White House. And every time it’s been utter hogwash. This year’s speech was no different in that respect.

Race to the White House: The American Media’s Lack of Moral Discernment

Many on the GOP side of the aisle have been complaining that Mitt Romney seems to be incapable of hitting back against the constant stream of lies, innuendo, and calumny that Obama and his minions have unleashed thus far in this campaign. Romney's campaign has been a veritable campaign of milquetoastiness by comparison. Yet the Old Media has the gall to claim that there is too much mud slinging going on by both sides.

Politco’s Full Court Press to Destroy Paul Ryan

Politico seems to have decided where it stands on Paul Ryan. On its main page on the afternoon of August 15, the news site seemed to carry a single message: Paul Ryan is a bad, bad man and Romney made a big mistake picking him as his wingman.

Family Research Council Shooting: Suddenly Media Not Ready to Blame Politics for a Mad Gunman’s Crim

Curiously enough, the August 15 shooting of a security guard at the Washington HQ of the Family Research Council perpetrated by an unhinged gay rights activist didn't spark the same hyperbolic claims from the Old Media establishment that politics is at the root of this violence, a claim that permeated reportage of past violence. No calls for investigations were made, no individual politicians were accused of fostering a "violent atmosphere," and no particular ideology was blamed as the cause of this crime.

DNC Chair Wasserman Schultz Demolished by… CNN’s Wolf Blitzer?

The most unkind cut of all is when your paper thin understanding of the facts is shredded by someone you think is on your side. This is what happened to Democrat National Committee Chairperson Debbie Wasserman Schultz when she kept trying to tell CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that Ryan’s Medicare reform plan took Medicare away from everyone even though, as Blitzer repeatedly pointed out, the truth is that Ryan’s reforms only altered the entitlement for those 55 and younger.

Business Owner Wants Her Deli Removed from Obama Campaign Ad

The owner of Krause's Deli in Cincinnati, Ohio, is extremely upset with Barack Obama for showing the front of her business in one of his TV commercials. It is causing her to lose customers and she says she was lied to when the video of her shop was taken. Now she wants the video removed from Obama's TV spot.

Paul Ryan Has Already Been an Effective Obama Critic

One of the things that a vice presidential candidate has to be able to do and do well is be an attack dog for the ticket. The best VP candidates have both the credibility and the capability to severely criticize the other team. Even before being picked as his running mate by Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan had proven that he is that man.

Who is the ‘Cancer’? I Say it’s Obama

The ad that Obama put out saying Mitt Romney killed the wife of a Kansas City steel worker is so dishonest, even the left’s favorite cable channels, CNN and MSNBC, have been excoriating Obama over it. But Obama’s tactic here is to just lie through his teeth on purpose in the hopes that some handful of voters will be stupid enough to believe him or will catch Obama’s lie-filled ad but miss the many people pointing out the lies in his ad. Well, Crossroads America did a great job pointing out Obama’s lies here…

ABC’s Brian Ross: Sikh-Killer is Right-Wing

ABC News is at it again, misidentifying a mass murder as part of the "right" in America today. And, naturally, it was Brian Ross who did the dirty deed claiming the man responsible for killing several Sikh temple goers in Wisconsin is a member of the "right-wing."

For His Trajectory, Obama is Right, ‘He Didn’t Build That’

Much has been made of President Obama's "you didn't build that" comment made early in June at a campaign stop in Roanoke, Virginia. Comments range from the disingenuous claim that he only meant that successful folks didn't themselves go out and build roads and bridges to the thought that his comment revels his desires to credit the nanny state with all things good in the world. But one thing seems evident. From his perspective he’s right. Wealth and fame are easy and really don't require much work.

Lifetime’s Army Wives: Domestic Terrorist is Über Patriot?

Lifetime's Army Wives has often walked up close to anti-American plot lines without stepping too far over the line, but this weekend's episode crossed right over into the left's famous — and famously bogus — favorite storyline: turning patriotic Americans into villains.

CNN Cries Over Rebuke by Romney Aide in Poland

CNN wants us to feel sorry for it. More specifically CNN reporter Jim Acosta wants us to feel sorry for him. It was Acosta who said on a July 31 broadcast that the behavior of Romney's aide in Poland was "really inexcusable" and "sort of unprovoked."

Up is Down: Media Ignores Romney’s Successes in Overseas Trip

What was the most striking thing about Mitt Romney's overseas trip this week? Says Powerline, the most striking thing is the "hypercritical" coverage given the trip by the American press. In what could only be seen by an unbiased person as a success, Romney's trip has instead been reported as a gaffe-filled mess.
