A Time for Choosing

After the latest atrocity inflicted by ISIS,Belgian Interior Minister Jan Jambon offered the world another look at the utter bankruptcy that informs the progressive mindset. "It was always possible that more attacks could happen," he explained, "but we never could have imagined something of this scale."

What's the Real Number of Illegals in America?

Few things require a more willing suspension of common sense than a single statistic pounded into the heads of the public by corrupt progressives and their equally corrupt media collaborators. The Daily Signal columnist William Campenni gets right to the heart of the matter, explaining that a call to any journalist, pundit, anchor, strategist or lobbyist asking about the total number of illegals in this country and the source for that number yields two identical answers: 11 million illegals, sourced by the Pew Research Center.

Context Is Everything

Unless you've has been living in an alternative universe, you’re well aware of the avalanche of criticism directed at Donald Trump from all quarters, liberal and conservative, including the latest hypocritical screed by Mitt Romney. Yet despite that criticism, virtually everyone engaged in it ignores the essential reality that attends every election: context is everything. In other words, whatever one feels about Donald Trump, or any other candidate for that matter, the ultimate question and the answer to it cannot be postponed indefinitely, as in Donald Trump—running against whom?

Hillary vs. the Benghazi Families

There is little doubt this presidential campaign season is unique, at least in one respect: for the first time in a long time, the despicable nature of the mainstream media's double-standard is as much in focus as the candidates themselves. And perhaps nothing screams double-standard more than the calculated lack of attention on Hillary Clinton's latest assertion that she never told the families grieving over the loss of their loved ones in Benghazi that an anti-Muslim video was to blame for the attacks.

Putting Military Women's Lives on the Line

In a move that reeks of political correctness, Defense Secretary Ash Carter announced Thursday that all combat positions in the U.S. military will now be open to women, with no exceptions. "They'll be allowed to drive tanks, fire mortars and lead infantry soldiers into combat," Carter declared. "They'll be able to serve as Army rangers and green berets, Navy SEALs, Marine Corps infantry, Air Force parajumpers and everything else that was previously open only to men."

TURKEY-RUSSIA TURMOIL

Leading from behind, or more accurately, failing to lead at all, has its consequences. Turkish jets shot down a Russian Su-24 fighter jet Turkey claimed was over its airspace, and both pilots were reportedly killed. In addition, American-backed Syrian rebels shot down a Russian rescue helicopter, killing one crew member. Russian guided missile cruiser Moskva will now be deployed off the Syrian coast, with Lieutenant General Sergey Rudskoi warning that "every target posing a potential threat will be destroyed," and all military contacts with Turkey "will be suspended."

Fazliddin Kurbanov: Terrorist 'Refugee'

The fecklessness of the Obama administration's despicable "refugee" agenda can be personified. Last August a federal jury convicted Uzbek refugee Fazliddin Kurbanov of three terror-related charges that included working to support a terrorist organization, and amassing explosive materials in his apartment in Boise, ID.

Terror's Progressive Accomplices

Take a good, long, hard look, fellow Americans, at the so-called City of Light--reduced to a blood-stained darkness. Paris was put under its first curfew since 1944, when another group of savages known as the Nazis were inflicting their particular brand of barbarianism on the world.

Hillary Clinton, Arms Dealer

In a scathing column Fox News contributor Andrew Napolitano makes the convincing case that Hillary Clinton sold weapons to Libya in a direction violation of the U.N. arms embargo, and then lied about it under oath during her testimony before the House Select Committee on Benghazi Oct. 22.

Obama's Secret Destruction of Our Immigration System

A newly-leaked memo from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reveals the Obama administration is seeking to sidestep a federal court injunction that suspended portions of the president's amnesty-based initiatives known as Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA) and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). In short, Obama is determined to impose his transformational agenda on the nation by any means necessary.

Ahmed's 9/11 Truther Father

The story of Texas ninth-grader Ahmed Mohamed, made famous by his homemade "clock" that resembled a suitcase bomb, has taken a curious turn. His father, Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed has parlayed accusations of Islamophobia with regard to the school's caution into a political attack against the United States for its complicity in the 9/11 atrocity--in all its "Truther" glory.

Kurdish Activist Takes On Turkey's Descent into Extremism

Abdullah Demirbas, Kurdish human rights activist and twice-elected former mayor of the Sur municipality in Diyarbakir, has long been targeted by Turkish authorities who apparently view him as a threat to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's determination to "re-Islamify" his nation. "I would like to emphasize that we believe in that inter-religious and intercultural dialogue a will bring communities together in this century," Demirbas told his lawyer, Ms. Irina Tsukerman, while he languished in prison.

Taking On Sanctuary City Lawlessness

The American left's contemptuous disregard for laws it doesn't like is metastasizing. Despite the public outrage that attended the murder of Kate Steinle by Juan Francsico Lopez-Sanchez, a seven-time convicted felon who had been deported five times, the number of illegal alien protection centers known as sanctuary cities has increased. The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) reports the number of these law-obstructing entities has grown to 340, compared to only 276 identified as recently as last July. CIS's analysis is based on new information released by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that covers the months of January through September of 2014.

Iranian Terrorist Attack Against U.S. Revealed

A bombshell report by the Washington Times reveals that fecklessness in the face of terror isn't a condition exclusive to the Obama administration. "Bill Clinton's administration gathered enough evidence to send a top-secret communique accusing Iran of facilitating the deadly 1996 Khobar Towers terrorist bombing," the Times states, "but suppressed that information from the American public and some elements of U.S. intelligence for fear it would lead to an outcry for reprisal, according to documents and interviews."

Navy Secretary Dismisses Risks to Women in Combat

For Navy Secretary Ray Mabus it would appear that progressive ideology trumps inconvenient reality. In an interview with National Public Radio (NPR) Mabus criticized a nine month study revealing that women sustain injuries at a higher rate than their male counterparts and shoot with less accuracy under combat-simulated conditions. "(The study) started out with a fairly large component of the men thinking this is not a good idea and women will never be able to do this,” Mabus told NPR’s David Greene. “When you start out with that mindset you're almost presupposing the outcome.”

Ahmed Mohamed's Qatari Vacation with the Muslim Brotherhood

The story of Ahmed Mohamed, the Dallas schoolboy made famous by the reaction to his arrest for bringing a homemade clock that resembled a suitcase bomb to school, has taken another curious turn. According to the Dallas Morning News, Ahmed and his family have accepted an invitation extended by the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development to visit Qatar. Their sister institution, the Qatar Foundation International (QFI) was founded by Sheikh bin Al Thani, who also created Al Jazeera. QFI has links to the Muslim Brotherhood (MB

Mandatory Muslim Immigration in the EU

On Tuesday, national sovereignty gave way to mandatory multiculturalism in the European Union. A plan to relocate an additional 120,000 Middle Eastern migrants was imposed by EU ministers over the objections four Eastern European countries adamantly opposed to the plan. Slovakia's Robert Fico illuminated the resistance. "As long as I am prime minister, mandatory quotas will not be implemented on Slovak territory," he declared in Bratislava.

University of California Totalitarians Strike Again

In yet another descent into Orwellianism, on Thursday, the Regents of the University of California's Committee on Education Policy will attempt to formulate an agenda for students and faculty that amounts to nothing more than a censorship free pass by establishing a right not to be offended.

Obama Mulls Resettling Thousands of Syrian 'Refugees'

The Obama administration is reportedly considering exacerbating a crisis largely of its own making. Following the immigration onslaught in Europe that has generated graphic images, including a 3-year-old Syrian boy washing up dead on a Turkish beach, thousands of migrants trapped in a Budapest train station, and 71 dead discovered in a truck abandoned on an Austrian roadway, Obama administration officials are considering the possibility of allowing more Syrian immigrants into the United States.
