Report: Unmasked intel reports were like 'private investigator files' filled with 'personal information.'

From the beginning of the Trump/spy scandal, we've been fed the story that any surveillance involving Trump-related U.S citizens was the result of "incidental" intel collection. The real targets were foreigners, and Trumpers just happened to be snagged in a wide-cast net. It's the "we didn't do anything, this is all perfectly normal, shut up you racist" version of events.

Report: Susan Rice ordered 'detailed spreadsheets' of 'perfectly legal' Trump communications

If the following report from the Daily Caller is correct, the scandal surrounding the Obama administration's illegal unmasking of Trump-related intel is about to get a whole lot worse. According to their sources, Susan Rice not only lied about knowledge of the scheme, she also had a nasty habit of demanding "detailed spreadsheets" which chronicled unmasked and "perfectly legal" conversations involving Trump associates.

12 Days ago, Susan Rice denied any knowledge of 'unmasking' Trump intel

Just 12 Days ago, Susan Rice appeared on PBS News hour and was asked about the "unmasking" scandal that, today, blew up in her face. Her denial is nothing short of astonishing. If this morning's Bloomberg report is correct, Susan Rice was the Obama admin official demanding the unmasking of Trump transition team members whose protected identities had been swept up in "incidental" intel collection. ...And yet there she was, less than two weeks ago claiming to know nothing about any of it.

9 dead, at least 20 injured, in Russia as bombs rip through St. Petersberg metro station

UPDATE: Via the AP, a second bomb has been discovered and safely defused. Also, the death toll has been revised to 9 dead, at least 20 injured. Earlier this morning, an explosive device was detonated in a St. Petersburg, Russia, Metro car as it moved between stations. Details are still somewhat sketchy, but it appears the bomb was packed with nails, and the explosion was powerful enough to blow the doors off the train car. The blast claimed 10 innocent victims, while injuring 50 more. Obviously, the incident is being investigated as a possible terrorist attack.

How ridiculous is the Democrat hypocrisy on the Gorsuch filibuster? This ridiculous.

A few short years ago, Republicans were "political terrorists." They were also "showboaters," "hostage takers," and were "refusing" to accept the results of the last presidential election. Those were among the claims made by a wide variety of Democrats - all of whom were accusing the filibustering GOP of the worst sorts of selfish, hyper-partisan, passive aggressive behavior.

Ryan says ObamaCare repeal going through 'growing pains.' Another try next week?

Last week, the Republican "repeal" and replace effort died an embarrassing and very public death. Then, the GOP top brass informed us that we'd be "living with ObamaCare" for the forseeable future, because (for reasons no one understood) they were moving on to other things. Now it appears that's not the case. Stories of the AHCA's demise may have been premature.

Schumer demands Nunes step down. Trey Gowdy rips him a new one...

They like to tell the GOP which presidential candidates they "fear the most." This usually ends up with Republicans running someone like John McCain or Jeb Bush. They like to offer "helpful" strategy suggestions which, for the last ten years, have been nothing but pathways to conservative failure.

Alabama congressman files two-page, one-sentence, ObamaCare repeal bill. Pass it, GOP cowards.

Sometimes, we wish you could see more of what goes on behind the scenes of Herman Cain HQ. We have a lot of laughs, a lot of interesting discussions, and a fair amount of non-PC fun. You'd enjoy it. Then, there are other times when we're glad you're not around. That's usually when we're bickering about legislation, and the concept of constitutionalism vs. "conservatism."
