Missing America

With Memorial Day and the 4th of July (celebrated as Independence Day in the United States) fast approaching, scribes all over the nation are dutifully dipping their quills into their inkwells to scribble the obligatory few lines on the topic: “What America Means to me”, again this year, as in every year since, well, since 1776, I suppose.

Painful Possibilities of Obamacare

In an article at the UK Express we learn the following:
"THOUSANDS of Britons are carrying out DIY (Do It Yourself) dentistry, pulling their own teeth with pliers and using household glue to stick down fillings. Unable to afford soaring charges, almost a fifth of people have all but given up going to their dentist, the Sunday Express has discovered.

Today is Confederate Memorial Day in the Carolinas

Today, May 10th, in North Carolina and South Carolina, is Confederate Memorial Day. I am reminded of the local “Sons of Confederate Veterans” Confederate Memorial Day celebration, which I attend every year. When last I spoke to the gathering I spoke of the Confederate Soldier, or as I sometimes refer to them, the “Southern Knights.”

Russia Probes US Air Defenses AGAIN!

According to the Washington Free Beacon -- "Two Bear H nuclear-capable bombers were detected flying into the military’s Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) near the Aleutians, where a strategic missile defense radar is located, and Alaska’s North Slope region by the Arctic and Chukchi Seas on April 28 and 29, military officials told the Washington Free Beacon."

Obama Brokering Deal To Contain Nuclear Iran?

Just a few days ago, we published a piece entitled: "Get Ready for a Nuclear Iran." The thrust of the piece was that Obama will not make any attempt to stop Iran from developing an atomic bomb or a missile delivery system for nuclear warheads, but will, in fact, allow Iran to continue their endeavor for nuclear weapons.

Déjà vu All Over Again? The Audacity of Truth

I recently had a “commenter” question my loyalty to America as a result of my hypothesizing that we, as a nation, may be headed for another civil war. It was an honest appraisal of our current situation, as I see it, and one at which I gingerly arrived with a great deal of uncertainty and tentativeness.

Senate Gungrabbers Not Done Yet!

Senator Joe Manchin, a democrat of West Virginia, says there was confusion about the gun control bill he and Senator Pat Toomey, a republican of Pennsylvania, introduced in the US Senate recently. It, of course, failed.

Earth Day:  A Pagan Holiday

Today is being celebrated by modern pagans as "Earth Day." It is a date set aside to worship the earth (paganism). Today is also the birthday of Vladimir Lenin, (April 22nd 1870). Lenin was a Russian Marxist revolutionary, author, lawyer, economic theorist, and political philosopher among other things. Lenin created the Soviet Communist Party.

Global Warming Hoax Finally Falling Apart

We "deniers" have now become "debunkers!" We have known all along -- and have not hesitated to tell the world -- that global warning was, and remains, the worst hoax ever played on mankind.

The Politics Of Emotions

Oscar Wilde said: “The emotions of man are stirred more quickly than man’s intelligence.” That single sentence by Mr. Wilde, from a very long time ago, explains everything you need to know about the American left, indeed, leftists around the world.

Undocumented Democrats; They’re Just Pawns

The GOP is making a huge mistake chasing after the Hispanic vote. It is a waste of time, a waste of money, and a waste of effort. In fact, it is a pathetic joke the GOP is playing on itself. And it will be almost as successful as the Republican Party's wooing of the black vote in America. I think we all know how THAT turned out.

A “Mill Hill” Boy’s Reflection

I spent my days as a wee lad in a company house on a company lot beside a company street in a company village. The company furnished the water and electricity … and my dad’s job.

Whatever Happened To Faith?

If I may be allowed, I'd like to paraphrase Saint Paul (I believe it was) who said: "Faith is the belief in things not seen." What Paul actually said is this: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Rotting The Soul Of A Nation

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious, but it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly, but the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their garments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear." --- Marcus Tullius Cicero 42 BC.
I count myself fortunate, and even lucky, to have been born into the last generation of independent freedom-loving Americans. That’s on the one hand. On the other, I feel depressed that my generation will be the first to see a free America voluntarily choose slavery as a way of life. As we look about us today, we can see the effects of socialism: A nation in decline, a nation financially broke, a nation of people depressed, hurting, and angry, a nation deeply divided by the race baiting and class warfare imposed on them by a major political party in its grab for the power to rule America as the “elite class” in a socialist America. We refer, of course, to the Democratic Party.

America/Sodom/Gomorrah

I began writing this piece on "Good Friday," the day upon which we Christians remember the crucifixion, death, and entombment of Christ.

Pagan America

As socialism wraps it’s cold, icy, fingers around freedom’s throat, as I think back, the most obvious of the “warning signs” was/is the so-called “Green Movement.”

Are We Being “Set-Up?”

I can't put my finger on it, but I have this nagging feeling that Senator Dianne Feinstein’s assault weapons ban is not gone. My paranoia tells me the democrats are going to squeeze it through a "back door" somehow.
