A Word About America’s Founding Documents

Since the 1920s the progressives of America nee Marxists, have been trying to persuade American voters that the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution are wrong for modern times.  They say times have changed, technology has changed, and modern people have changed.  Horse hockey!  Our Founding Fathers and the founding generation had an uncommon understanding of people and human nature.  They studied history and recognized that times might change, and technology will certainly change, but history has demonstrated over and over again that human nature has been consistent throughout recorded history. America’s 30th President, Calvin Coolidge, spoke to the Declaration of Independence quite eloquently and everything he said, for the most part, applies to the well-crafted United States Constitution.

About the Declaration there is a finality that is exceedingly restful. It is often asserted that the world has made a great deal of progress since 1776, that we have had new thoughts and new experiences which have given us a great advance over the people of that day, and that we may therefore very well discard their conclusions for something more modern. But that reasoning can not be applied to this great charter. If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people. Those who wish to proceed in that direction can not lay claim to progress. They are reactionary. Their ideas are not more modern, but more ancient, than those of the Revolutionary fathers." ~ Calvin Coolidge
If all men are created equal, that is final. Granted, it took nearly 180 years for America to fully reach that reality.  However, we did get it done until our 44th President, a true Marxist, overturned the racial apple cart when he reignited racial animus in 2009.  The Declaration and Coolidge were correct.  ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL, and that is final! If they (all men) are endowed (by their creator) with inalienable rights, that is final. Coolidge and the Declaration are right again.  However, the American Marxist ruling class would like everyone to believe that rights are granted by the government (men), so they can get rid of their biggest stumbling block, God.  The Marxist Democrats are now facing the realization that Americans aren’t buying their bull pucky.  INALIENABLE RIGHTS CAN ONLY BE GRANTED BY GOD. Marxists deny rights; they don’t grant rights.

If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final.  Once again, the Declaration and Coolidge were correct.  But that’s not working too well.  In the last 100 years federal government has slowly usurped rights the Constitution assigned to the many states and the people, exacerbated by the 32nd President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.  This was when the federal government stepped out of its lane and began doing so many things not enumerated in the Constitution.  Since the middle of the 20th Century, the federal government has overreached and created agencies that grew government and failed to solve problems they intended to solve.  The federal government has screwed up everything it touches when the only fix is to throw more money at the problem. The Executive Branch had the consent of the legislature, not necessarily the consent of the governed.  This is a case where the governed have failed themselves by not holding their elected representatives accountable.  That’s how America has ended up with a bought and paid for, seriously corrupt political machine that includes all major political parties.   The political machine has given us a National Debt of nearly 31 trillion dollars, and that debt is growing at the rate of 1.5 million dollars a minute (or 2.16 billion dollars a day).  The only thing the federal government is good at is spending money and putting it on our collective national credit card.  Today, every baby born as an American citizen is more than $10,000 in debt at the moment of birth.  Now, that is cruel and unusual punishment! In addition, the previous and current federal government is trying to maneuver their way into denying American citizens’ rights guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution.  Here too, the governed have failed themselves. Americans have traditionally trusted the federal government and their elected representatives.  The last couple of years the government has very publically violated the trust of We the People, and we aren’t going to take it anymore.  Come November 8, 2022, We the People will graphically demonstrate just how displeased we are with machine politicians and our out of control governments, state, local, and national. One hundred fifty years after the founding, Calvin Coolidge recognized the genius of the Founding Fathers and the documents they designed.  In 2022, can We the People reinforce the works of our founding generation?
