Back in the early 70’s, when “tree-huggers” were predicting the new ice age, I attended a lecture in Boston where Ayn Rand was speaking on the topic of how the progressives were going to use environmentalism to destroy capitalism.
You might be interested in picking up a copy of her book, The New Left: The Anti-Industrial Revolution. The lecture is in that book.
