In protest of Elon Musk, the city of Boston has decided to leave X And move to the very liberal and limited Bluesky platform. This arrogant and self-centered move essentially limits their communication to only those on the left who support their radical policies rather than the much more subscribed to X platform.
On a Bluesky post, the city stated:
At the beginning of 2023, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu said that she was reducing her personal use of Twitter because she found the platform "toxic."
The Hill reported:
The use of the word “journalists” is very debatable; since the MSM largely supports radical left agendas, it’s not surprising that they would join a platform where they “Can preach to the choir” and avoid any dissenting voices.
It’s also incredibly hypocritical for Michelle Wu to call anything toxic. This is the same racist mayor who last Christmas sent out invitations meant for only “elected officials of color;” however, the invitations were accidentally sent to the entire City Council, as reported by NBC News affiliate NBC Boston.
A city employee accidentally sent an email invite for the “Electeds of Color Holiday Party,” requesting RSVPs and dietary restrictions from council members planning to attend.
Wu, who was oblivious to the fact that this was an act of division defended the act by saying:
Will someone please tell this fool that by only inviting council members of color, she is segregating people based on race? Having additional parties doesn’t justify having this one.
Now she has divided the entire city by deciding to post announcements on an obscure liberal echo chamber.
Wake up Boston, you’ve got to do better than this.
